He looks like a Trevor Lawrence clone, but possibly a better runner.
Unless DJ turns things around and looks great we could easily have a replay of the Trevor Lawrence/Kelly Bryant saga next year.
That would be great to be honest because it’s competition.
But that’s not our biggest problem. Our biggest problem is the OL. That has been our problem since the early 90s and the last of the Danny Ford players.

Cade is not a Trevor clone, not even close, dude is tiny and honestly not that well regarded by people in Texas. The school he goes to is just loaded with top end talent from what I hear, my complaint is based out of Texas and my buddies said they were shocked we even offered him based off what they’ve seen. I’m sure he will be serviceable but he’s not even close to Trevor.

He’s the number 1 QB in the country, as rated by the most reputable recruiting service in the country. He also just won the elite 11 this summer. I think he’s pretty good.

Ewers was rated miles ahead of him, he is closer to Trevor than Cade. The high school Ewers went to just has minimal talent, while cades is absurd, that’s the main reason he won head to head. Cade is good for sure but not a “generational “ talent by any means.

It would not surprise me to see him at Ole Miss. And you know NIL was put in place just so Kiffin could get him without breaking any rules.
