Checking in safe(-ish?) from Dry January, macular degeneration, and skin cancer.

Whassup bishes? APM been up in his Hiatus but January was not uneventful and sharing is caring, so thought I better check in before thangs get real during Lent.

First, APM did Dry January. I am pretty sure it has been since pre-COVID lockdown that APM went without any alcohol for a month. Was never a big drinker anyhow, but a month of abstinence reminded APM that he generally feels better when not drinking and is generally a warm weather, beer on the deck or by the pool kind of guy vs. an indoors drinking kind of guy. Even did restaurant week here without booze. It was fine. That said, Mrs. PAW and APM have a date tomorrow night, so we will see about maybe a glass of wine.

Secondly, after watching it for a couple of years the doc sent APM to a retina specialist in January. Turns out I have a rare form of macular degeneration (vitelliform) that is not related to age-related MD. Bad news - there is no current treatment. Good news - this is not the kind of MD that affects the ability to drive, etc. Doc is confident within the next few years there will be treatment.

Thirdly, APM had been noticing a spot on his arm for a while. My PCP is pretty good about asking about noticing moles, growths, etc. Diddy PAW had a couple of spots cut off when he was older. So APM finally went in today and got it looked at. Doc said it did not look concerning but he froze the spots just in case.

Anyhow, APM is living the dream. Hope y'all are. Hate to see Klopp leave LFC, but we all knew it was coming. Eager to see LewHam up in da Scuderia - could be epic.

And as for the Super Bowl, APM could care less about anything other than having his beloved CFWs. But APM gotta give props to ole Tay Tay. At least she likes some real man dyck. I mean, homey gone have CTE later, but for now I'd rather have the biggest star on the planet in a traditional gender roles relationship than dating some effete fake "country" music star, a tech oligarch, or the like. You go Tay.

Ungh.
