Believe we played them in 2010 and 2011. I was very optimistic back then that we had hired a good one for us.

We played them in a home and away in MBB about 12-13 years ago, lost pretty bad in both, but those were major down years for us

Question: If THIS is only the third meeting between Clemson and Arizona, how does Arizona ALREADY lead the series 3-0? Google has evidently already predetermined that the Tigers are doomed!

We played them in the home and away and also in the 1989 NCAA tourney second round. Got beat handily in every game I believe.

Not only that, we are 2-3 versus this bunch of 15 teams this season; one of those being the highly questionable "loss" at Duke. Basically, a 50/50 performance by Clemson this season against this Sweet Sixteen.
I like our chances.

We also lost to them in the second round under Cliff Ellis in 1989. If I recall correctly, they were a 2 seed and beat us 100-66. It was a beat down.

As reported already the last time we played them in basketball it was a home and home. Brad was good friends with the Arizona coach at the time and they set up the home and home (over 2 years). Both games were played early on the season.

And the 1989 second round NCAAT game after Elden Campbell and Dale Davis dunked all over St Marys in the first game win.
