I thought he was a bad hire. Instead of going out and finding the best candidate available, the University went looking for a coach who would accept the job for the amount of money Clemson was willing to pay. That's no way to run a railroad.

Reasons why he will not be fired:
- he is the winningest coach in Clemson men's basketball history
- this year he will likely set the school record for regular season conference wins
- he runs a clean program, his players graduate and don't get in trouble
- he has not been afforded the facilities or fan support he needs to win consistently
- he successfully guided us through a season where we had to play in Greenville -- so basically zero home games all year. Would have set most programs back 10 years.
- he successfully overcame KJ leaving early for the NBA. Would have set most programs back 5 years.
And most of all:
-HE WON THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD in 2019. What other Clemson coach (in any sport) has won a WORLD championship?

The sweet 16 IMO is the only thing that Brad has to hang his hat on in 13 seasons bc, his first NCAA tournament was done with Oliver Purnell's players after he ran off in the middle of the night!!! If that say anything, it says that Purnell gave away a better team than most of Brownell's teams have been!!!
