I do not believe that an actual BCS ranking is possible.

Media and Coaching votes are influenced by the CFP ranks making it ridiculous to try and imagine how they would vote if there was no light to guide them. ESPiN would still be pushing 6-8 SEC teams into the preseason top ten and 10-12 in the top 25. Then they would swap places as conference games took place.

Everyone who remembers the decade of torture NCAA Football fans endured during the BCS era understands.

Good Point - In 2015 I believe we were ranked #3 in the AP

prior to the first playoff ranking coming out. The next week we were #1 matching the CFP rankings.
