Good morning everyone how was your weekend?

...Seemed a tad shorter.

Friday, up the mountain to the fabulous Harrah's Cherokee Resort and Casino. Got a whopping $25 in free slot play from the promotion. I turned that into $11. Then I lost a good bit, for my taste, on blackjack, video poker, and some other slots. I need to get some of the video poker strategy cards.

Saturday, did really nothing at all due for no good reason. Just how it goes sometimes.

Sunday, got a late start that had less to do with the time change and more to do with other members of my household, but made it to the gym and did some stuff around the house. Mainly getting a foam topper cut out for our keezer.

Pinewood derby. Oldest son played his new piano all weekend. He plays bass in the Orchestra, plays guitar, piano, cello and violin all pretty well. Otherwise pretty lazy.

Put final plans on Summer trip to St Martin. Bout it.

Friday, don't remember.

Saturday, put in exterior outlets with the cover in the rain and standing in water. Only got popped twice.

Sunday, nice easy restful day.

This time change is killing me.

life on hold while Mama G is helping with grandkids due to DIL's grandmother being in hospital one week after her grandfather was and then passed. So, while she is spending a lot of time in the hospital, Mama G keeping a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

BTW, we dodged the virus my grandson had or whatever he had after the lost his lunch in my lap last weekend. So, winner there.

We are supposed to be in PI, might leave Thursday if DIL's grandfather's funeral goes off as planned on Wednesday (already delayed once.)

Friday watched the Tigers win softball baseball and gymnastics

Saturday headed to Blythewood to judge the Doko Ribfest. Saw folks I hadn’t seen since before Covid. Tasted 18 different ribs, most of which were pretty darn good. Hung out and listened to a mediocre cover band then home to sleep through the Brown’Ls doing brown’L things.

Standard Sunday with mom.

They are hurting for judges at Clemson this weekend. Although I understand wanting to get away from the family stress.

It’s amazing how much better the ribs are when that is all they have to cook.

Friday, Mrs. had a school board budget meeting so I rode up to Harris Teeter and hit their salad bar, brought it home and binged Northern Exposure all night.

Saturday, rainy day and really did a lot of nothing other than a grocery run. Went out to eat with Joonyer, DIL, and Mrs. Food was great, the girl playing guitar was good, home in time to watch AEW, missed the BrownLOLUTZ game.

Sunday, a friend of ours that moved up to the mountains stopped by and hung out all morning, hiked the pup in the afternoon, then off to The Thirsty Beaver for Mucho Gumbo. Those cats have been around Charlotte forever but I've never had a chance to catch them until last night. Excellent set of Cajun, Zydeco, Tejano, Tex-Mex, swamp country stuff. Probably the only time I ever remember seeing someone cover Clifton Chenier.

19/19 Covids because lots of relaxing and little paying attention to basketball.

Friday - nice day, got our ##### kicked in scokker

Saturday - got up and worked outside all day, bought and laid out mulch, raked the yard, again. Trimmed back some trees. Wife asked me about ten times if we have a Bradford pear tree, since Clemson Extension is doing this tradeoff if you bring one in, they will give you another tree to plant. Told her ten times, we do not have one of those. Watched Clemson lose, and watched Oppenheimer on Peacock.

Sunday - didn't sleep in too much, got up at 9 (8 to me), churched, shopped, got more mulch. Hurt my back about 15 minutes into yard work and called it a day. Meal prepped for the week, scolded the dog for eating my wrap I made for supper. ANd relaxed a bit.

10.8/11 because these go to eleven

Fri - left work early to practice for tournament. Caught lotso bass, two doubles on the A-rig. Fri night tourney meeting.

Sat - Was a bit wet starting out, caught 2 decent fish near the end of the day to finish 4/15. This makes 3 bass tournaments this year and three times getting paid. After 2 tournaments we are in 1st place overall.

Sun - Church in the morning. Had friends over for lunch and played in the creek again. Kids stayed with the grandparents so MsLovin and I had some alone time last night.

Weekend???

This had the potential to be an insane weekend, the rain helped make it a little less insane

Friday night, Wife and Daughter left to go to Rocky Mount for a volleyball tourney. Me and the boys went to middle son's Rec soccer practice, youngest got to participate as well because it is Rec league and we know the coach. Dinner at Mellow Mushroom because Slice of Life was too crowded and I thought I might see MauldinT®, but he wasn't there.

Up Saturday for Club soccer match for middle son and tourney for youngest, luckily both were in ILM. Club team cancelled the Academy Tourney due to rain and cancelled Club match due to game. Then the Rec team cancelled their game as well. Went to grab a coffee across town and got the boys doughnuts and hot chocolate because Mom is out of town. Home to do laundry, clean house, and watch EPL. Arsenal are top of the table. Laundry took a couple hours and then cleaned downstairs. Not much else I remember doing, but we hit Chic-fil-A for dinner because lazy.

Up Sunday to beautiful weather, but...soccer match in Wilson, NC. Cleaned upstairs and did more laundry, putting up clothes, etc. Left for Wilson a little after lunch and saw wife on I-40 headed home. Drove 2 hours for a match on a Sunday afternoon for 10 year old boys, who were all exhausted, so it ended up being a 0-0 draw. Back home by 7:45 to put up groceries and eat Mexican takeout. Hit the sheets and the wife missed me so much and was so happy that I cleaned the house so she didn't have to that she went right to sleep.

#Marriage

To recap
Daughter played 6 volleyball matches out of town.
Daughter had soccer match in town cancelled for Rec team (she was going to miss it anyways)
Middle son played 1 soccer match out of town and had one cancelled in town for Club team.
Middle son had 1 soccer match cancelled in town for Rec team.
Youngest son has Soccer tourney cancelled in town for Club team.

FML, most of those cancelled games are probably really just going to be made up later so just punting this insane schedule down the field.

Also, lollers, because that was our life for so ####### long. It's a pain in the ### but enjoy it, it goes way too fast, and then all you will have is boring stories about yardwork and watching movies

you had been there. The beer was cold though, and the pizza was decent.

BTW, I need to do yardwork, BAD. The rain and the busy schedule is keeping me out of the yard.

And I tried to watch Wonka with the boys, but we all three fell asleep in the den. We had all seen it before, so it wasn't AS captivating the second or third time around.

Friday: Bought a new putter. Celebrated with a couple margaritas and lots of chips.

Saturday: started the day with a bunch of mimosas. ate a big steak before getting absolutely wrecked at the rodeo. Apparently walked home at 1:30 am based on the timestamp on pictures I apparently took.

Sunday : almost missed tee time after oversleeping. Scarfed down three orders of bacon and two eggs while choking down a mimosa instead of warming up. Played 27 holes. Hit bombs and won some money. Went to bed at 8:00.
