Friday night, took a stroll around the neighborhood and not much else exciting.
Saturday, had an eye dr appointment had my eyes dilated so was pretty useless for a while, Nothing really got accomplished but did enjoy some Rocky's Hot Chicken for supper.
Sunday, brunch at Hapitab, hung a bird house, tested some of our new all grain brewing equipment.

Soccer game Saturday morning. Wife went Easter shopping, then I went and checked out new shower at mom's house (handicapped equipped). Sunday was church, then cub scout hike at Congaree swamp. That boardwalk has been lengthened. 2.6 miles. Saw a snake, squirrels, and some bigazz trees. Overall pretty good.
Middle son's pet frog dies this morning. Off to a rough start for the week, but weekend was good.

Friday: Took daughter of to town for passing all of her tests. Did some errands, etc. Bought some Delta 8 gummies and holy ####.
Saturday: Opening day for rec sports. So had 3 ball games at the field then went to a festival. On my feet all ####### day. We were worn slap out that night. Slept like a baby for like 11 hours.
Sunday: Up early. Had to go to Sumter for a birthday party. Luckily daughter of didn't feel well so we called that off. Instead worked in the yard. Got the garden rowed up. Rested the rest of the day.
I had to come to work to get a break.

Came down with a cold or bad allergies or some combination of both, so I was fighting that all weekend. Horse races on Saturday and I didn’t even go. Did get to see folks afterward, flow0440 was in rare form. Wife mad at me for some stuff that doesn’t even matter, but means the world to her. Life goes on., hopefully.

Friday, knock off a bit early, go home get fam and drive to my Mom's house in Aiken. Pick up Indian take-out on the way in. Bed early.
Up early on Sat and head out to Steeplechase in Aiken about 7:30...in gates at 8...spot set-up by 8:30. Other group of friends show up at nearby spot so help them set-up as well. Get into the beer around 9:30. Was a very good day, cool and very windy...creating some nice up-skirt moments. Saw a lot of friends. Drank way too much (beer, jello-shots, mint juleps, mules) and more than I've had in a very long time. Went over to friend's house afterwards and continued to drink. BigDaddy showed up there after skipping the races due to his wimmens parts hurting. Luckily wife and son-of showed up, which slowed down the intake. Said a lot of inappropriate things, made a kid cry, saw a lot of boobies and butts, offered jobs to 2 hot Latinos, and generally made an #### out of myself. Was a solid day.
Sunday...moving slowly with a very cloudy head. Made it back to Anderson around 1pm and watched basketball. Hit waffle house for dinner, then crashed hard.

I'd like to point out that the Spanish language includes

gendered nouns, such that a "Latin" person can be connotated as either male or female. For example, that Hispanic female over there is a "Latina". Conversely, some guy I know drunkenly offered jobs to two very attractive LatinOs, and there's nothing wrong with that, unless his wife doesn't know about his Hispanic male fetish, which could make things awkward at some point, but whatevs, I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

Took a half day Friday to leave for St. Augustine with wife. She took forever getting ready to leave so I could have just worked the whole day. Got to our Air BnB about 11:00, showered, knocked it out the park, sleeps.
We got up early and head to Anastasia State Park, ran the beach and hardbor-side dunes for about 8 miles. Wife is good for about a 6 mile run so that was a little longer than she likes, but it was worth it. Beautiful place. Brunch downtown then back to condo to hit the beach. In 2ish hours on the beach I got drunk and sunburned. Back into condo to shower and head to dinner and the show. Grabbed tacos somewhere then got to the venue for Widespread Panic. We were easily an hour early and it took longer than an hour to get through the line to get in. They were vigilantly wanding everyone, really time consuming. Missed the first three songs but had a stellar time. Bought a beer inside but ended up getting sober then a hangover which kinda sucked for afterwards. Back to condo for some sleep.
Up relatively early and ran 5 miles on the beach, checked out of condo and went downtown St. Augustine for Schmagels Bagels and to do a little sightseeing and shopping. Out of town by 12:30ish, home by 7ish and reality with three kids hits. Babysitter was great with them, but they are a handfull.
9/10 weekend, wish I had more beach time, more shows, and more laziness. This should be a 4-5 day trip next year. Might have to take the kids though. Florida is beautiful and weird.

Friday night Daughter's volleyball game, they one the first match, but lost the game (I think that's the terminology...). Went to Real Mexico.
Saturday Worked around the house, went to a crawfish boil that afternoon. Drank a decent amount. Wife got trashed. Son ran into another kid in a bounce house at the party and probably broke his nose. He lost like 2 pints of blood. It was insanely bloody.
Sunday Went to church to usher, because I am a man of my word. Wife was supposed to teach sunday school, but she made up a lie about the kids not feeling good. I was not a party to her lie and told the preacher that she was hungover AF. Worked outside some more.

Friday: got a few dranks with the wifey at the clubhouse; stopped by another fran's house for some King Of The Hill-style driveway dranks with a few other frans. One of them brought me and another guy some gummies, but instead of the 2 or 3 or 4 he randomly hands us when we see him every month or two, he handed me an unopened bag of FORTY of the 25mg watermelon slices. Criminy. Went home and enjoyed the evening. Lulz.
Saturday: bday party for sister of a fran, had some dranks, their dad bought a couple hundred bucks worth of Swig and Swine, so ate well; stayed up way too late with wifey, had fun, didn't get any.
Sunday: fam was out of the house most of the day shopping and at bday parties and whatnot...niiice. Made for some quality basketball watchin'. Stopped by same fran's house from Friday night because they were having a big ole crowd over for tacos. Lawd, the Hispanic-ish side of that crowd can COOK. One of our friends made Chili Colorado...gatdam. I'm getting that recipe.
This fella was also at the party, long snapper for the Rams. Married to the Chili Colorado maker's daughter. Didn't have his SB ring on, DISAPPOINTED. I'd wear that ish everywhere.
He's pretty dreamy, assuming he thought the same about me since I'm like an inch taller than him.
8.8/10, wood dew again.

Friday, took the day and did the slow ride to Clemson on Hwy 11. Great ride, stopped at Strawberry Hill to grab a drink and as we were leaving get a text from TOTE1 asking if we were at Strawberry Hill. They passed us in the parking lot headed the other way, LOL. Get to Clemson and hit a few places, mostly riding around to marvel at all the development I've never seen because during football season I go to the tailgate, then home. Checked into Lakeside Lodge, nice digs. Headed downtown and grabbed a quick bite at Chipotle since it's the only real gluten-free thing Mrs. could eat. Not bad, but not a highlight either. Then over to Tiger Town for beers, then out into the street to watch my pals Rough Mix play. Still a great little band for a bunch of guys that get together and play once a year. Cravin' Melon closed out the night and they are still a great live act. Got to see lots of college-era friends that I usually only get to see at Homecoming. Had a grand time and will do it again next year.
Saturday, slow ride home on Hwy. 11 again. Picked up pup at Joonyer's and then home to wrangle and feed cats. A quick trip over to visit RH Mom, then back home to get ready for Supper Club. Small gathering this time, but a great time was had by all.
Sunday, slept in, up for coffee and recovery, errands, and a trip to the grocery, over to visit RH Mom. Back to the house to grab gear and off to MEDIUM volume acoustic jam. Pretty good jam, covered a lot of territory and most of it sounded good. Back home to eat a ham sandwich, sit quietly for about an hour, then crash. Dog went nuts about the time I had fallen asleep, so had to get up and patrol the perimeter with heavy armaments because you never know. Got everything calmed down and the next thing I know it was Monday.
Not much more to say except the fact that it was a rare 19/19 Covids.

I figured they couldn't really control that downtown anyway. You got free wristbands in the bars so you could carry out beers, actually worked pretty well. I did make the mistake of walking out with a can right as the band was starting at 6:00 and got hustled back into Tiger Town by a cop to pour it into a cup. I guess I got the doorman in trouble, LOLUTZ.

Friday, went out to dinner with some bros, then went home and continued binging Severance. Did some working "on" the business before I have to start working in it.
Saturday, up early for a meeting and breakfast. Then went fishing and hiking out at the local state park. Didn't get so much as a bite. I don't know why I even try -- those lakes are so pressured and/or mismanaged that it's not even worth carrying a pole and tackle box around unless you wanna practice your casting, presentation and retrieval techniques. That's probably the 5th time I've been to that lake and I haven't even smelled the signs of an active fish population, much less seen one. Came home and took a glorious 5 hour nap. Then went to Taco Bell and watched the new Texas Chainsaw movie.
Sunday, early meeting. Finished Severance. Lots of chores. Mexican for lunch. Then worked on the paper work for my first client and prepped some marketing assets in preparation for launch. I've got 6 months to see if working for myself is something I want to do full-time before the money I've saved speciifcally for this pursuit dries up. Watched another Texas chainsaw movie because Alexandria Daddarrio is in it. God she's the perfect human.

So that was good
Friday finished prepping for a volunteer training workshop and did a bunch of laundry I’ve been putting off
Saturday up early to set up the workshop and sign in the attendees then over to the county building to help with hazardous waste day Deer Lort- even with signs everywhere and people every 20 ft, it’s amazing at the number of people with a drivers license that can’t figure out how to drive a loop through a parking lot. Face is right fully wind burned and I think I inhaled something fatal because I can hardly breathe this morning Got a free lunch out of it so that was a plus
Sunday usual with mom Did get to see the last 5 laps of F1 & Neckcar both endings were pretty good.

Stellar. No wife, no kids for a full 48hrs. Left the hospital at 10am Friday, took the wife to lunch on the marsh and got my weekend started early. Went to the farm Friday afternoon, both my brothers and a couple of our buds hung out Friday night, got saucy, had a KFC feast. The Colonel is the jam, extra crispy is the ticket.
Saturday morning hunted pretty hard. Plenty of birds gobbling on the roost, but became ghosts once they got down, probably still henned up in breeding groups. Spent the rest of the day cleaning up an old Jon boat that we named the Largemouth Limousine and fished around the pond. Windy, but gorgeous weather. Caught a couple ditch pickles and a few crappie. Got saucy, watched basketball.
Hunted again sunday AM, my brother called in a nice bird for his bud. I took a KFC/Busch Light emergency dump in the woods that pretty much ended my hunt. Cleaned up & came back home, back in the shop this AM.

Friday: Red was out of town for a wedding so had the kiddo by myself. Took CRulezJr to publix to grab some Miller for myself since we were out at the house. Because of COVID and the uncertainty around kids, we haven't really taken her out to stores. This may have been her first trip to the actual grocery store. She was amazed. Played outside in the backyard after dinner and took a peloton class before having leftover white people tacos for dinner and drinking until going to bed.
Saturday: My parents came into town so my dad could help me in the yard and my mom could watch the baby. Had a pretty great day with lots of Miller Lites consumed, lots of time spent with the chainsaw. Parents stuck around for dinner and peaced out. I am very fortunate that I am at a point in my life that I can fully appreciate having my parents around. Seeing them interact with my daughter is something special and she loves my dad so much that it breaks my heart. She brings out a side in my dad that I haven't seen in him.
Sunday: My sister was in town with her three sons for lacrosse games about 5 minutes from the house. Took CRulezJr out there for two hours to watch the games. Napped when the little one napped, then sister and her crew came over to have dinner and hang out with the toddler. Sister and I dont jive most of the time because I think she has some issues with depression that she misdirects toward me and my family. But she is in one of her good spots right now, so it was really great to have her and her family around and have some meaningful conversations with them all.

Hit south mountains st park Thursday for some fly fishing. Water was up and didn’t catch a fish, but that place is gorgeous… a gem.
Tennis sat am then went to the FC game Saturday eve and had an absolute blast. That’s a good time right there.
Sunday was Suffolk punch, legion and heist brewing on a stunning day in the QC.

Old farty but fun...

Friday night decided to take it easy but ended up daughter (17 years old) of woke us up feeling sick. So we were up for a bit around 2 AM.
Then got up at 8 Saturday to make sure she called the doc's office about getting a saturday appointment and then ran her down to the pediatrician's. Would make her do all that stuff without supervision but for the fact that two weeks ago she had the same symptoms and chose to go to a doc in the box. They swabbed her for strep and declared it strep despite a negative result. Prescribed her anti-biotics anyway. Turns out, when she's at her dad's house she and her brother are always taken to a doc in the box at the first sign of a cough. Always "have strep." She told us she's never actually had a positive strep test. But taken fifty rounds of anti-biotics. ###?
So anyway, she's just got a viral infection that only time will heal.
So, Wife and I get ready and take 3 year old to a birthday party. She has a blast. We run her back home to stay with the two older kids overnight and we head to Florence to meet some friends for dinner and then we go see the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Those ##### are my parents age, and so was #### near every other person attending the concert. Nonetheless, the guitarist, bassist, drummer and keyboard player were all really good. Singer was clearly stretching on the vocals but he wasn't terrible. All in all a pretty good time. Back to friends house for beers outside and then to bed for some sexy time and sleep.
Sunday had a big breakfast with friends and then home and cleaned out garage before making spaghetti and watching Will Smith lose his mind.

The last month has pretty much run together

Started having intense pain in my nether regions about a month ago. Shook it off like a man and continued my day to day. Got so bad I couldn't walk, went to urgent care where the doctor totally ignored what I told her and said I had a UTI. OK that made absolutely no sense, but I got some antibiotics. Later that night and into next day was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life, literally wanted to die. I've had complete knee reconstruction, nails go all the way through my foot, broken hands, fingers, legs, nose, accidentally stabbed once, and hit by a car 3 times....None of that could hold a candle to this pain. Into the ER I went, after several painful hours diagnosed with diverticulitis. Cool, got some meds, went home.
A week later pain is even worse, back to the ER I go. Oops diverticula connected to my bladder and busted. Wish that would have showed up on the first scan. I won't go into details about the affects of that but it is not pleasant. Now I get to have a camera shoved up my peepee and bhole to check things out this week, then into surgery I go. Farewell ~ 8" of my colon and possibly part of my bladder. I haven't walked upright in almost a month, nor have I had a beer. Terrible, terrible month.
To put it mildly, I never expected something like this in my mid 30's. On the bright side, I have lost almost 15 pounds and completely changed my diet. My poops are real nice now, APM would be very proud.

signs that I had been ignoring. It's funny because I've watched my parents/grandparents act all stubborn about going to the doctor when they were in pain/having issues and I just shook my head at them, then when it was my turn I did the exact same thing.

when I found out I had a tumor on my kidney a few yrs back, the pain I was having was in a spot where I had periodic pain before. Perhaps if I had gotten that checked out sooner I wouldn't have lost the entire kidney.
And also had/have same issues with my parents.

That sounds less than ideal.

While we have you, can you elaborate on the "getting hit by a car 3 times" thing? Like, 3 separate incidents? Or same day/car/driver? I feel like you're hoarding a good story or 3 on this subject, and we deserve to know, because we tell each other everything, boo.

First time was fairly mild, was running after a basketball, didn't look in the road and got hit. It was in a neighborhood so they were going fairly slow, had some bruises but that was it.
Second time was during a swim meet. Cars lining the street, parking lot full, etc. Friend had a Go-Ped( I need to see if they still make those, that thing was awesome) I took for a spin in between races. Floored it out of the parking lot into the street and met a Jeep head on. Rolled up the hood, onto the roof then was thrown in to the bushes. Knocked me TF out, woke up in a prickly ### holy bush with the guy who hit me screaming at me, the scooter had gone under his Jeep and popped two tires. Was pretty funny, he couldn't have given less of a sheet about me, was 110% concerned about getting new tires.
Third time I was riding my bike to work one summer in Clemson down Cherry Rd. and got clipped by a truck rear view mirror. I had clip in pedals on my bike so we went as one into the ditch. Driver didn't stop, probably made his day. I was very, very angry though.

Good lord man you have a colovesical fistula? You pissing air & sheeit? My strongest piece of advice to you is to find a colorectal-specific surgeon, preferably one who can do it robotically.
Good luck w the cysto & scope. That’s a stroke of bad luck to have that complication of diverticular disease, especially this young.

Although if I drink tons of water it seems to help. Peeing air is probably one of the most disconcerting feelings ever, not painful, just really, really fuggin weird. My son gets a kick out of the 'weiner poots' though, so at least someone is benefitting.
I've seen two specialists, it will be done laparoscopically so shouldn't be a terrible recovery. I've got an appt with another one in Atlanta but frankly I'm ready to get this over with.

If you happen to go by the dock and see my boat tell her I love her for me. I haven't seen the girl since the other weekend when I crawled down there to drain the block again when it got real cold. My boat lift had been collecting crappie jigs so feel free to collect them.

Now I'm hanging out at urologists office with a bunch of 80 year olds. Told my wife I'm just going to start tucking a plaid button down shirt into my jeans and wearing glasses again so I fit in with the crowd. Maybe a hearing aid to top it off.

I had a diverticulitis scare a few years ago...came to the conclusion it was due to stress. haven't had any complications since, and naturally changed my diet by getting off the road week in and week out.
hope you can get it cleared up man.

long week off was good

not great. week prior to us leaving, we noticed dawghater2baby was kinda sick/stuffy. shrugged it off as allergies.
whale...this cottam daycare plauge hit my ### bout Winnsdee mawn down in the Keys. I was sick as a sombich all week. didn't really have the energy to do much of anything. wife was sick too. i was gargling salt water, snorting salt water, rinsing my eyes w/ salt water...nothing. went through more cough syrup than beer.
finally went and got a rona test on Fri - came back negative yesterday. feeling alot better after taking my horse dewormer anyways, still got the remnants of a cough tho.
also - fishing day got weather'd out. so that sucks.
to sum up how we felt - wife and I bought 12 beers and 12 ranch waters. y'all know my cheap ### was drinking publix beers instead of resort ####...had 4 beers left when we checked out (a day early). in 4 days at the beach, I drank 8 beers. kind of unbelievable.
it was great to be in warm weather and blue water unplugged from the matrix tho. ate some good food, relaxed, slept in, didn't have to make any bottles or change diapers...so that was nice.
definitely didn't have a lot of zip on the ball being sick and missing out on fishing the humps.
also - pretty sure Obed® was down there. ran into a dude w/ a Clemson Lacrosse hat on.

from 1:30 to 3:30 on Saturday. Well, I think I had at least one walking down to the beach and one walking back, so only 6 on the beach.
Also, that Ranch Water is absolutely terrible.
