Without Bellamy this past February do we get Todd Gurley?

We really needed another running back in this past recruiting class even before Bellamy was let go. Running back talent has fallen off the mountainside in the last few years. All of the current backs behind Ellington look pretty light with no power and Ellington hasn't made it through an entire season as the starter.

Hope we can get 2 great backs in this recruiting class including at least one with some size.

We'll never know. I wish Buice had stayed. We still need a back in that mold too. I do think we recruit well and we will be ok. I still think ROD can play some good minutes here and Brooks will be solid once he learns the ropes (spring here should help that).

The academic side was a surprise to most of us. I dont remember many like. Maybe missing a bowl or something but not totally missing out academically. Not among key contributors

We would have still had a talent problem. I wouldn't expect Rod to contribute much. He's not big enough and he has the same strength issues that Bellamy has which affects his ability to hold onto the football. Brooks is at least a year away from having the strength he needs.

Talented running backs flash their talent early. Probably more so than any other position. I just haven't seen it from anyone but Ellington currently on our roster.

I know he left the program a while ago but did he end up going somewhere to play ball or did he just give up football all together?
