What choice have they got.

If Tajh had gone pro and Chad Kelly (sans injury) was our QB for this year, we'd probably sound a lot like them about now. Fortunately for us, we know we've got the real deal behind center for 2013. Gonna be a rude event when the Semi-nolays come to the Valley this fall.

Here's what I've seen from him, just from the spring game.

I know the spring game isn't a great gauge of the team or players, but it's all I got.
He's got a good arm, and he can make some tough throws. He's got good mobility.
That said, he tucks and runs way too much. He also stares down his first read for way too long, and often if it isn't there, he'll tuck and try to run. He has the tools to be a good one, but he won't be what FSU fans expect him to be. At least not this year.

Some people on here will argue you to death about what a great coach he is.

They should be pretty big on him. He is a heck of an athlete. Could had gone pro baseball after high school. He was the #1 QB in high school. We wanted him as well.
Come next year we are going to be just as big on our QB Watson and hoping he takes us to the MNC as well.

The ONLY thing about Winston is that he's from Hueytown, less than 40 miles from Tuscaloosa (Alabama). I guess he just wanted to go to FSU, but I never remember ANY Bama fans really wanting him to go to Bama - and I work with lots of Bama fans. Maybe he doesn't fit their O all that much. He was definitely all that in HS though.
And as far as fisher goes - no way would I play for him. I don't think he's really all that great at coaching. I don't see him as being a great game day coach, and seems to make enough mistakes and lose games he should win. He keeps "pulling an FSU".

Bama was on him hard! Saban personally recruited the guy! Bama, Stanford, and FSU were the finalists. The reason he signed with FSu was because of Dameyune Craig (now with Auburn and he recuited the hell out of Bama while at FSU).
Was the #1 QB at Elite 11 and Trent Dilfer thinks he will be the first pick when he comes out. The guy has all the tool (physical ability, mental toughness, leadership, football intelligence). He will be good but he will take some lumps early on. I expect him to have some bad games but by 9th or 10th game when things start to slow down he will shine.
That being said he is in a tight battle with Jacob Corker who is a talent also.

and say that he is probably as good as he is hyped up to be. Just based off the fact that Trickett transferred, and he was better than Manuel I thought...so for him to have just transferred means he knows the next guy in line is better than him.
That being said, I don't know if it would be enough to beat us, considering Tajh is good AND experienced...the 4 years experience is key. This Winston guy will be scary in the future but for now I'm not all that concerned.
