Nope but I'd do it if the opportunity is there.***

I dont live too far from Tiger Cove. Got to get the boat running again.

That being said... kinda reminds me of the show Ozark...

We attended a beautiful river baptismal service in Beaufort while we were living there. Downtown Baptist has those occasionally. The congregation walked together down to the river, singing as we went. It was lovely.

Reminds me of that boat preacher in Ozark…***

It is a great idea but where I live, it is drawing some people away from their own church for the summer months. The idea was to create a church atmosphere while people are on vacation at waterfronts. That is hurting attendance and possibly tithing at several churches where I live. Other than that, these boat churches are fine summer ministries.

Most people that tithe to their church will continue to do
so whether they are at church every Sunday or elsewhere.Would
you agree with that or am i missing the point?

Does not appear so irmo. Several where I live are having to resort to yard sales to meet their budget.

In the late 90s, my FiL had a place on Lake Murray. We would often go to boat church. Was a great experience

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They've been doing the same on Lake Murray for years,

which always provoked a joke: folks showing up in bathing suits...with their coolers of beer and liquor bottles hidden well out-of-sight!

Nothing like a little blessing of the fleet prior to a day of party, party partying on the water! lol

Don't know that there's anything like that on Lake Greenwood but you can definitely get to a bar by boat around here.

We would anchor at the end of the #### in the are behind the Esso Club.

That was 40 years ago after I graduated and first married.

Was thinking about d!ke being a bad word. It's a mound of dirt that holds water back.
