To those who lost a loved one on 9/11, may today be a peaceful day for you and your family.
Truly, the days, weeks, months, and years following 9/11 were a trying time for this GREAT COUNTRY. However, this Country came together as one. Race, religion, political beliefs, social standing, none of it mattered. All that did matter was our neighbors. We all cared, and we all loved. Most of the World cared and mourned with us. A terrible tragedy brought us all together even if it was just for a short period of time.
God Bless America and to all who stand for its glory!
0846am on 9/11/2001 will be a day that will never be forgotten!

I’ll choose to pay respects to those who lost their lives during it and served.
Blessing to the omnipotent being that ‘allowed’ it to happen?
No thanks.

It's called free will.
If only the FBI and the CIA had shared information, they might have prevented it.

I am with you. How dumb does someone have to believe that we attacked the Pentagon, the WTC, and crashed that plane in Pennsylvania intentionally?

ones who used that free will to knock down those towers. But, trying to explain God to an Atheist is more of a losing proposition than trying to explain colors to a blind person. At least a blind person can imagine colors. Atheists have no imagination. But, what awaits them at the end will still wake them up.

Really misinformed and most definitely do not read the scriptures. We currently live in a fallen world and have a sinful nature. While we live on this earth the good Lord gave us a free will. People chose to do these horrific acts not the God that puts air in your lungs everyday.

I can explain why God doesn’t interfere with tragedies. God promised man free will to do and chose how they want. If he starts interfering in free will; he would be the biggest hypocrite of all. What God does with tragedies is miraculous. Look at all the goodwill and love that came out of those tragedies. There’s a great movie/book about why God doesn’t infringe on free will.
The movie/book that best explains free will is called The Shack. Mac was a loving Christian father whose daughter was abducted, raped, and murdered. God explains that the killer is as much his child as the late daughter was. God doesn’t “allow” bad things to happen. God was distraught over the girls terrible death. To infringe on free will would break his solemn promise. He could force everyone to worship him. He doesn’t want conscripts, he wants people who choose to follow him. One servant born of faith is more valuable than 100 slaves.
For me, the biggest takeaway of this is that he ultimately uses tragedies to his glory. I am thankful God allows us to have freewill. Imagine a world where God stops every bad hung from happening. It sounds great, however, how would we recognize/celebrate the good without ever experiencing bad? Just a little “food for thought.”

Yep, he did say that he wouldn't interfere, but he did leave us with the rules that we should live by, and if we did, he would reward us with everlasting life!!!

Well said and will try to never forget that through great tragedy for a minute we once again began to be what made America great. There was only one race, one people and we were all truly caring for our neighbors. It saddens me to see how divided we have become as a nation. In that tragedy I saw no hate for your fellow Americans.
To all those who lost their lives that day and the families that forever grieve, I send my heartfelt prayers and condolences. To the military families and soldiers who fought and/or died thanks and prayers also.
As far as thanking God, I totally agree. God doesn't orchestrate our lives. He gives people free will and allows us choices. Choices to do wrong and even whether we choose to believe if He is real. For that, I am thankful that he is not a dictator and forces us to do things. When bad things happen, I am glad to know He comforts me and I can see his hand.
Have a great day

off desks, because it might make those from the middle east uncomfortable.
My friend and classmate at Washington and Lee was killed by the plane that slammed into the Pentagon.
But a flag made someone uncomfortable.

The president of our company, a Canadian, stated in a company wide email anyone that was seen wearing that shirt would be fired.
