We still hold the 7-5 lead in total national titles. Tbh I was starting to get nervous about that lead with the monster that Staley is building with wbb for them. But them not winning this year helps a lot.
We can hopefully add to that lead in coming years with football, men’s soccer and who knows maybe softball

The best part is any coot would trade all of their titles for one football title. Make NO mistake about it. That 1969 ACC football championship is the only championship banner in Willy B.

However, that program will be hard to hold off, plus COVID prevented another possible 1 for them in 2020.
Hoping that FB and/or M Soccer isn't long for another 1. & softball is quickly establishing themselves. But I would love to see some of the other sports start breaking through. Both men's & women's track have brought home placement hardware in past, just not gold plated. Same w/ women's tennis (2 final 4s) & baseball (one of few teams to have as many CWS trips w/o bringing home the big prize).

Their wimmens titles might compare to our soccer titles, but they could win a hundred wimmens titles and would still be behind us because of our 3 football titles. There's just no comparison.
