Furman can out-gain us on offense against our top defense but if we win 10-7 with a last-minute FG, we are still national championship contenders.

It was 35-3 early third quarter it was over. We didn't finish well. Furman a pretty decent team. Wake up call for the defense for sure. Go Tigers

Here’s your answer…

Football is a game of physical will. A team that is up by 3 scores can lose that focus on imposing their will on the opponent. Firman wanted desperately to topple the giant, so they never lost their fighting mentality. We started putting backups in.

That’s what happened today. We only have to win by 1 point, stats don’t matter. That’s football.
