FSU fans not giving our defense much respect.

Just reading the boards and I believe they are thinking our defense is still a weak link.
I'm calling it now, and I was very much down on our defense last year. It was a train wreck at times. I've seen nothing this year that makes me think it is anywhere near the same weak link. The front 7 is physical, deep, athletic, and well conditioned. The CB's are playing much better. While the safety spot is still spotty, even I think it's going in the right direction. We have a lot more talent that wasn't even available last year. The players are picking up the scheme and playing fast.
FSU scores 21 or less on offense. I just think the animal is out of the cage, and Death Valley will be the jungle when the Seminoles come calling.

with the real Death Valley argument. I always thought whichever school finally said that the other was 'Death Valley,' that they should change their stadiums name to 'The Jungle' and run out to AC/DC like VT does with Metallica. But then we beat LSU and settled that argument.

Really think it comes down to who can run it and who can't

If their backs start gashing us, we're in trouble. If our backs have any degree of success against them, they're toast.
Also, failure to get pressure on Tajh is an automatic loss.

There's not a Db in the world who runs two back to back long yardage coverage patterns with Bryant, and next have to do the same with Sammy, Williams, Hopper, Seckinger, or Humphries, etc. and remain at full speed. NOT. Time(OL) and Speed(?) kills. Clemson is loaded and can only stop themselves. PICK YOUR POSION!!!!!!

I am more concerned about our Offense against FSU

Boyd can not have an off day or make the high throws. FSU is going to score about like UGA. FSU's defense is much better than UGA. If we don't score at least 35, I don't think we can win.

FSU pass rush is not very good IMO. We protect Boyd and they get lit up, period. They have no true pass rusher. Our OL needs to lock them down.

Giff would be my big worry. I also fully expect a lot of blitzing from FSU and we need to make sure we pickup the extra man.

I'm glad we get to see what Kearse can do. Blanks looks like a weak link to me. Robert Smith is all over the field, and Breeland is playing shutdown defense. The front seven is tearing it up two and three deep (though I agree with BV that they took some time off in the Syracuse game).
I'm glad they're not getting any respect. I want them to *take* FSU's respect.

score up to 35 or 38. Our D still lacks in a few areas and I think FSU may be able to exploit that. Ultimately, I think our ability to pressure Winston will be costly to them though and we will be able to put up more points because we will force him into mistakes.

It does have a huge impact both on the opposing team's offense and our defensive play.

And I'll bet they don't get anywhere near that. The transitive stat property does not work in football. We have been solid against the run this year as a unit.

Those 323 rush yards are a bit misleading.

Giving up over 300 yards on the ground is certainly not acceptable, but it's important to look at the yards in context. Because they were unable to get any yards via the passing game, they became an extremely run heavy offense. They ran the ball on 65 percent of the plays.
Over 100 of those yards came in the 4th quarter in garbage time with the backups playing. Of the remaining 200 yards or so, 66 of them came on one long run where our guys were badly out of position. The fake punt went for 38 yards, and we also gave up 57 yards on scrambles which has been a problem for our defense going back several years, but Hunt's yards were a result of the secondary doing such a good job covering their receivers. I'll gladly take 57 rush yards to a QB if we can keep their receiver from getting any receptions (I realize this won't happen against FSU).

I don't think you can underestimate the advantage of playing in Death Valley. Winston's first true hostile road environment. He's been great thus far, but he is still a redshirt freshman. I think with our improved D, an O that is full of weapons, and the home crowd, the Tigers win a big one!
