Lake Marion players, Clemson football commitment Mike Williams and 10th grade football recruit Deriante Jenkins.

Newberry High lost to Lake Marion Sat. in the SC AA basketball championship. 16,000 at the Colonial Center. Great game. Mike Williams is a very impressive athlete. Big guy, can really jump. Wanted the ball in clutch situations.

Also was very, very impressed by Lake Marion 10th grader, Deriante Jenkins, who I learned is a big QB recruit and being pursued by Clemson, Notre Dame and others. Outstanding athlete. 6-5 or so. Among other things, reversed-dunked on us. Columbia radio host and former USC player Carey Rich tweeted that if basketball coaches haven't heard of Jenkins, they will soon.
