Forget stadium, gameday atmosphere, etc...

Jul 17, 2014, 3:17 PM

What's the best town/city you've visited for a game?

I'd have to go with either Austin or Lincoln... Ann Arbor and Madison both being great places to visit, too.

I saw Tiki Barber score 3 TDs on Texas in the 1st quarter.

Jul 17, 2014, 4:00 PM

too fond of, but main street is a lot more my speed.

sloans was always a favorite not on main, but they sold a number years back. have some good friends that live on lake monticello, just always enjoyed taking in charlottesville on game day and in the fall with afton as the backdrop.

i guess i never got the big school feel from uva or charlottesville eventhough there are 25kish students there and i dig the lawn and a lot of the older architecture.

lexington is beautiful, i love the town & skewl.

I like the game atmosphere at College Station-- about as good as it gets... But I didn't think much of the town.

I didn't get to the park, but I did get to Dixie Chicken and Dry Bean. Good spots, but I would never go to College Station if it wasn't for a game.

They will buy you drinks, but you can't step on their grass because if represents soldiers or something. And that midnight yell practice, mega-weird.

Jul 17, 2014, 6:25 PM

the closest thing to Clemson fans I've ever been around. Autzen is rocking the whole game and the fans remind you of Clemson people in a lot of ways. They detest the rest of the PAC-12, and outside of their fancy unis and Nike money, the campus and atmosphere reminds you of Clemson in a lot of ways. Went to the Duck/Stanford game there two years ago and it was off the charts. Went to Duck/Stanford game in Palo Alto last year and while the Stanford fans can't touch Clemson or Oregon fans, that campus is the most beautiful campus outside of Clemson I've ever been to, and I've been on a lot of them.

It's the same oyster. Just get ours in the winter when the water is colder and the oysters have more glycogen.
