Just to give you an update on two rivals - FSU and Wake.

Last night, second game of a double header and third game of the series - so both teams were down to Charlie Holstaff on the mound.

It wasn't pretty.

Combined for 21 walks and 6 hit by pitcher. Scored tied in bottom of ninth, 9-9. Wake up to bat. Walk, walk, strike out, wild pitch, wild pitch. Wake wins 10-9.

Earlier in the game wake scored three runs on 4 walks and 3 HBP.

And, lest anyone think it was just FSU, Wake gave up 11 walks and hit 2 batters.

FSU has definitely shown lack of depth in their bullpen. I think Wake lost a couple key players to the draft so not surprised pitching depth is down.

I remember when Tigers played FSU earlier, the announcers said that the feeling in Tiger dugout was getting to FSU’s bullpen would be favorable to us. Worked out well.
