You couldn't be more wrong about that....there's a reason oil by the barrel has almost doubled and it ain't due to big oil boogey monsters....

What I can't figure out

I've been giving at "red" level for years now but have never actually been IN the red seats--closest I can get is a purple section in probably the least desirable section purple seats (right next to the visiting fans/band). So now I'm wondering whether I should up my donation to try to get an actual red seat, or take it DOWN a couple hundred dollars to match the seats they insist on sticking me in.

then according to this you keep your seats. The problem is that the renewal rate is so high, that it's difficult to get the premium seats. People will up their donation to keep their seats because in many cases, the same families have been sitting together in the same spots for 30 years or more.

ballpark figure of what it would take to move to a certain section. I kept my donation way above my seat value for a couple years to help improve my location each season until I was financially unable to do so. My seats did improve each year by doing that.

"Orange" level and still stuck in purple. Will be dropping my amount down to the level of seat they actually put me in. I have called each year to find out why I give at "Orange" level but stuck in purple seats. Each year they tell me I will be upgraded the next year but never happens. Been that way since 2009.

They also rearranged part of the upper deck, but that's about it.

Gray ($550) seats in the upper deck? Wow, great move.

I understand why we have the seat equity plan but IMHO there are no seats in the upper deck worth $550 each much less $550 plus the season ticket price. Also, a 71% increase for the purple seats seems a little much. They must have sold all of the season tickets this year and had thousands on the wait list.
With the economy the way it is I don't think this is a good idea.

They're that very bottom section that has seat backs. I wouldn't sit there, but I could see some people going for them for the unobstructed view and the ability to see plays develop.

They really are premium seats - I don't have a problem with that.

I have been an iptay donor for 15 yrs and I enjoy the pregame festivities like most. I might still go tailgate with friends and family and just watch the game on TV at the tailgate spot while flipping to other games during commercial break. I will be almost $3000 reacher at the end of the year.

I've been giving at orange level for years and have been stuck in purple the entire time ... and yes, I request an upgrade each year on my application ...
who in their right mind would want to voluntarily sit in the FSU tuba section?

The mailer I got from IPTAY did not say if these rates were good for 5 years? Does anyone know if this is going to be good till 2018 or are they going to go year to year on us from now on?
Thanks! GO TIGERS LNT
