He's come a long way since that night in Auburn in 2010 ...

... missing that chip shot FG to send the game into overtime could have destroyed him psychologically, but fortunately for the team, he came back and just got stronger and stronger every game.

I like the way you think. I hope we let him score a FG or 2 in addition to many PAT's just to beat them down and to help his record, but I hope we don't really need them to beat the wolfies.

That surprises me. Back in the day, Obed, Nelson Welch,

etc. used to kick 4-5 field goals per game regularly. Guess now we're kicking more PATs. Anybody remember the offense Ford used to run: Up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, Obed?

His TRUE freshman season as a walkon, people were eating him alive saying he sucked... I said over and over he was gonna be one of the greats, and deeming him as a TRUE freshman was ridiculous.
Glad he was able to make all those naysayers wrong.

He brought great stability to a position that sorely needed

it. People tend to forget how awful our kicking game was before Catman came around. The position that seemed to pump in an endless amount of talent for years with us all of the sudden went dry, prompting many to suggest we make it a scholarship preference.
We had taken for granted what a luxury it was to have a good kicker. Then came along Catman and boy have things changed. I had forgotten what it was like assuming FGs were good till he brought that feeling back. Very underrated player. Early congrats to him!

He is one of the best FG kickers that we have had in 20 years. He may have started off a little rocky. But the guy has one of the best legs within all conference kickers IMO. Pinion and Catman are for sure earning their keep. And Clemson now has two kickers well worth bragging about, and great kickers will help win close games. Catman has already beat back to back, two top sec teams.
