Feels familiar... like 2014

After we lost to Duke I got pretty down.

I went to bed that night dreaming that we somehow came back 45-42 (I know, bizarre score).

Then we go and look decent against CSU and FAU. Confidence starts to return... everyone has bad days, right?

The FSU game def had everyone's stomach in a knot but dang was it fun! Like we played so well and came up short in the end. Bummer.

But it was weird bc it was fun... :) The outcome sucked and the fun is in the winning but dang did it feel great to see Cade toss it and really do some gutty things. I love that kid.

But it started to really remind me of 2014. We go to UGA and get blown out. Win a cupcake. Go to FSU and control the game, have chances to take it away, but lose in overtime. 2014 was my Junior year at Clemson and the homies and me went down for that big FSU game... it was so much fun! FSU has a great environment and felt almost identical to our game this weekend.

We end up having a great year that year... beating OU in the Russell... man what a game! There were a ton of young guys on that team who really developed (M. Williams, Tay Scott, Gallman, Alexander, Boulware, Renfrow, Leggett... the list goes on) into absolute STUDS that next year when we went undefeated, to the CFP, and STARTED our great run.

The fun is in the winning. Beat Syracuse.

Told my wife during the FSU game last week that for the first time in a long time it was FUN watching that game unfold.
