Lawson and Alexander are the only 2 I can see that are truly NFL ready and guaranteed 1st rd picks. I would have said Kearse the first half of the season, but he has tailed off a bit. Unless he has a big playoff he may bolt. Hopefully Gallman, Leggett and Dodd all come back and take that leadership roll. Gallman and Feaster will be like JD and Spiller all over again. Gallman and Leggett could both be 1st rd potential next year in my opinion. Winning the NC may put some weight on the decisions too, of course if we won it all....even i'd say, do what you gotta do!!

Fwiw, said player didn't say much about Dodd. But in his mind, Mack, Kearse, Leggett are all gone

Kearse tackles the way he tackled #3 in the last game he will have a hard time getting drafted very high. Watkins will send in his paper work to see his value and if it is higher than 5th round I could see him bolting.

The last several games for ones that want to rag about their play. I agree with the person that said everyone but shaq would benefit coming back another season. And that's on offense and defense.

we have pretty good back ups for them. At TE you have Milan Richard, Garrett Williams, and Cannon Smith. If I remember correctly Garrett pushed Leggett for PT early on. At S there's still T.J and Jadar with Van Smith, which had a couple of great games especially in Miami, and I think I read the coaches were high on Jefferie Gibson. CB we still have Tankersley, if he stays, Baker which has been a ball hawk when he's been in, Fields, and Carter has been fairly solid. Baker has had two picks in limited snaps and Carter has a few passes defended/broken up in limited snaps as well. There is no replacing Kearse or Mackensie, but there is some talent behind them.

I don't have a source but I have watched them closely and I believe Green and Tank would come off the board before Kearse and Mac, their physicality and speed is eye popping. Prob get a higher grade. Either way, I think they will all leave and obviously Shaq. We do have good back ups but no where close to the secondary we are fielding right now or the pass rush. Losing the best secondary to ever play at Clemson (as a unit) will be a difficult hurdle...put me down as nervous...

I think the pass rush will be ok. Still have Bryant, Yeargin, Register, Johnson, & Ferrell on the outside. Plus Wilkins, Pagano, Huggins, Watkins(depending on what he does), plus Dexter Lawrence. Like you said about the secondary it will be difficult to replace the skill, but not necessarily the productivity.

I promise you that these guys are working/focusing at the highest level... it would cost them millions if they loose focus with two games left!

Most will be later round picks. With a great year next year, all will make millions from the decision to wait, IMO. This will be interesting to watch play out, though, and even if they decide to go pro, we will be just fine. Our pipeline is full of top talent.

I would bet that staying another year would have made him a lot of $, but there was a risk. Anyway, he is one who has done very well, but he didn't start out with a bank account full of cash like he might have had he stayed for his Senior year. That said, he has done very well for himself, anyway.

I still think coming out early was a financial mistake. He is getting paid nothing compared to what he is worth. But, he is getting paid plenty to take care of his family which is why he came out in the first place.

Now this is news to me. According to the defensive player I talk with this about, they aren't considering the League too heavily.
On the plus side, recruits love this stuff. If they see Clemson putting guys in the NFL in three years, sign them up.

he is still referred to as the guy opposite of Mac.
Mac has been covering the best receivers and Tank could definitely use another year to prove that he can be that guy. (opposed to just the "other" guy)

Kearse will get a wake up call if he goes in. M. Alexander is close to being ready but he could market himself VERY VERY WELL/$$$\ if he stays one more year. Everyone else...get back in the house....right now and sit down. You don't need to go anywhere.

There are some very good CB coming out this year such as: Hargreaves, Fuller, Ramsey, White(LSU), Sanchez(OU) to name a few. I think Alexander is top three, but if he wants to be the first CB off the board he should wait. Just my opinion. These kids have a HUGE decision to make, can't imagine the pressure they're feeling.

I don't pretend to know much about it but I don't see any of them being 1st rounds picks other than Lawson....I really like Mac but at the end of the day I question his breaking on the ball ability....just doesn't have many int's over his career...I think he has awesome technique and study skills but not sure about his overall top end speed nor his ball skills....no way Kearse nor legget are close to 1st round pics IMO....

Some of these guys will be in for a rude awakening if they decide to leave - at least in terms of draft positioning. I've even seen Mac as a mid-rounder at this point.
Kearse is a mid-rounder right now; he is just potential. I get that Leggett has been basically waiting for his turn to leave so that's that. Dodd is going to get a 5th-7th round grade at best and he'll be back. Tank is thought of pretty well from my understanding based on his frame and ball skills. I think Tank would be one of the guys drafted higher than some might think, but I hope he comes back or else we are super thin at CB.

I agree that we would be Super thin at DB. Getting Korrin back would help on the edge but over the top and downfield we could be suspect. Hope Tank, Mac, at the very least come back so we can develop some guys a little more.

Let them all go.

Said it before - the more success we have in recruiting and on the field, the more this will happen. In the big picture, it's the cost of being where we are. The days of begging our one superstar to stay are over.
Message to recruits: You will play early. You'll have a chance to start for a couple years, and if your as good as we think you are, you'll have a decision to make.

As a Clemson supporter, I want them to stay because you can never have too many good, experienced players. As a supporter of these guys off the field, I could never fault them for making a decision that will ultimately benefit their lives and their families' lives in such a dramatic fashion, not to mention the shelf life of the average NFL player is what, 2-3 years? Better get it while you can, 10-year careers are the rarity, not the norm.

Look Green has only started one season at the position he stays, Kearse will leave, Mac may post a top 10 grade if he stays cause there are so many CBs coming out that have more stats but he could grade late first to second round....but that atleast 3 teams in need of a Cb before he gets his take. Tank would be crazy to leave only one year at the position that's not enough to drop millions on, Wayne won't leave. Dodd won't leave, Wilkins may leave but no drop off there but still I don't see a guy who was an emotional mess and playing only one season and has been outshined by a freshman as NFL Draft big board material just yet. If you watch our recruiting though we are kinda making that turn into being like Kentucky in basketball but we need championships or you stay that should be the message....come to win....if Leggett leaves oh well we got like 4 guys who are right there. One of the safeties should stay Green. MAC could leave but we just gain Adrian Baker and that one new safety that played for green in the acccg was a baller. Dorian odaniel becomes a force, 5* lbs and d tackles coming in from everywhere and Korean Wiggins back probably playing strong safety.....loaded how'd we replace Boyd we got Watson, we replaced Beasley with Lawson. Clemson is in no danger of dropping off much lol. You have atleast 3 guys that played tons in the rotation in the secondary....now we need to land that last 5 star lb and get him early enrolled.....then the defense looks much again like this season with just a scarier d line there are some scary talents also waiting in the wings over on that sideline that got redshirted too

Lawson would be the only 1st rounder.
Leggett "might" could get in the 3rd/4th round. Dodd would be lucky to get drafted....AT this point. Next season, that's a different story.
All my opinion. #21
