stuff about how great our D-Line was looking, then sitting in the nosebleeds in ATL watching Bama's linemen pushing BOTH our lines all over the field...
Obviously it's apples and oranges comparing the program now to 2008 but I'm hoping our D-Line is just that good and it isn't our young O-Line is just that easy to push around. Good thing we've got a couple of warm up games.

Tommy never had enough quality lineman on either side of the ball to really go it in practice. That changed a long time ago with Dabo. We still have some issues, but nothing like it was.

I hear you, but I think our talent on the line is way beyond

what it was in 08.
The funny thing is, we even have much better talent in the skill positions than we did back then.
One think I hope for is what UGA did in 2003 with their OL. They had 2 Freshman and 3 Soph's on their starting 5. And they dominated that year because of the talent and the toughness.

You guys need to be seasoned grown men with 10 years professional experience by the time you and your team take that field in Death Valley. It will have to be above and beyond your state of mind to go up against Louisville and especially Florida St.
Keep also in mind that you have special cargo to protect and keep clean.....that cargo is named Deshaun Watson. He is not supposed to beat a team all by himself while getting the crap beat out of him at the same time by an opposing defense.
Get it together O-line.

Calm down man, give them some time. You can't expect freshman to go up against Lawson, Reader, Boulware, Watkins, Dodd, etc. and dominate from day one. I'm more encouraged by the fact that our front seven is getting pressure and penetration than I am disappointed that freshman offensive lineman aren't pancaking our seasoned veterans. Definitely some cause for concern, but I expect our offensive lineman to get better as camp goes on. Luckily, they get to practice against our D-line everyday, and it will be one of the most talented they will see all season. Give it some time, if they struggle against Wofford and App State, then we may need to start worrying.
On a positive note - Guillermo, Hearn, and Green apparently all looked really good today. You know Hyatt will develop into a stud, so will Fruhmorgen. As long as Norton is snapping well, he should take a step forward. MacLain has all the athleticism and physical tools, and seems like he has the drive to go with it. Crowder is a hoss. We should be able to field a pretty good line this year. Lets just hope we land Simpson. Add him and Pollard into the mix, and the future is bright.

The "panic" button is continuously lit for some people.

I was imagining a cheer during the game..... instead of cheering for the RB or QB... 5 minutes to go, a 6 point lead and we have the ball.... the fans start the cheer OLine... OLine.... OLine... challenging them to take over the game. During the DF years if we had the ball with 5 minutes to go and the lead ... we knew we had the game... I hope one day we will be able to have that confidence in our power running game.
