Family and business don't mix

Nov 8, 2022, 11:26 AM

I think Dabo has taken the "Family" theme too far. You can be to close to your co-workers especially when you're the boss. Now he needs to fire about three Coaches and he Loves everyone of those guys. Its really a bad position to put yourself in.

I have worked for family. They held me to a higher standard than they would hold non family to.

Family business work great and are a significant part of the US economy. Where they tend to fail is when the operator/founder/ceo passes leadership to a family member at retirement. Which reinforces that, at the end of the day, it the head of the business that matters. Do you not have confidence in the leader of the Clemson football business? Do you think the previous decade was the greatest coalescence of luck in human history and that Dabo is actually a terrible head coach? Or maybe we are just facing headwinds that are taking him more than two seasons to adapt to? Are we better with him making decisions, a new head coach, or an AD dictating to him?

We are 8-1. We lost a game. The world is not ending for Clemson football. Dabo has delivered the best that Clemson has ever had in football and he will continue to do so. I'm behind all his decisions. Some of you posters are 'kick 'em while they're down' people. We are doing fine. We lost a game. (singular).
