Shows that Tigers have had some great years and even ranked #1 twice in CWS but both times Coots upset them and went on to be back-to-back Natty Champs

This is the era when Clemson BB sunk and Coots soared, when they finished in 2nd place in Omaha after being double defending champs.

Time to get back to CWS!

Aloha Bill. I had forgotten about SCAR upsetting Clemson and winning National Titles in baseball. Thanks for the reminder on the day we take the series from the coots 2-0, you diehard Clemson fan you.

Stilk, they beat #1 ranked Clemson 2 straight years in Omaha to go onto final game and win 2 Natties and the 3rd year they were 1 inning from having 3 straight trophies in Cola but finished 2nd.

At this point Tiger baseball never recovered IMHO.

Actually Clemson wasn't in the 2011 CWS

It was the 2002 and 2010 CWS where Clemson just had to beat the coots once to advance to the finals but lost twice both times. In the 2002 final, before it was a best 2 out of 3 series, the coots lost to Texas.

I’m not sure why you feel the need to bring up coot accomplishments right after we won both games this weekend. Your posts seem to throw a little credit to the Tigers when we do well but at the same time you make sure to “put context” to our boys’ achievements by stating how good other programs have been. Why? You’re belittling the Tigers for some reason and I don’t get it.
