Fact is, we could still lose 1 and get in playoff...

Nov 2, 2016, 12:37 PM

...with the only exception maybe being the championship game.

Even with 1 loss they will not drop us behind Lvl or Auburn.

Every year folks think things are "pretty clear" when it won't work out that way.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

If we lose a game we will drop out of the top 10. These other teams can lose to anybody and drop 2 spots or not at all. Hopefully if we did lose the committee would have a little more sense than the polls.

Worst Case Scenario for SEC (just for fun)

Nov 2, 2016, 1:37 PM

1. LSU runs the table (Bama, A&M and Florida) and loses in the SECCG to...
2. Florida, who just lost their last two reg season games (LSU and FSU) on the same day that...
3. Bama loses to Auburn

SEC has a 3 loss champion, a two loss runner up, and a team that lost twice in Nov. and didnt play in a conference championship. Meanwhile Us, Mich, Lou, and Washington all run the table (and whoever Big 12 champ is for good measure.)

1. Clemson
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Louisville

not sure, a loss MAY keep us out of the playoffs. depends on if michigan, washington, and alabama all go unbeaten. then as you say, if it is in the acc championship game and what the final record is of others like say a&m, who as of today in the top 4.

Maybe.. but not a bet I'd make. It all depends on others.

Nov 2, 2016, 1:19 PM

I don't think there is a conspiracy, but I do think Clemson is being compared to Clemaon 2015, not the competition on the field. If we lost 1, I have a hard time seeing us in if others win out.

Not a chance in hell of us getting in if we lose a game at this point. Better be ready EVERY Saturday, regardless of the opponent. 1 slip up and we'll be out of the top 10.

Fact is we will win every game this year. 15-0 is the goal and I believe our boys will do it. They know what it takes to win and they are on a mission.

I hope 'could,' isn't in Dabo's way of thinking.

It's too late in the season to roll the dice by trying to keep games close. We actually need to impress the entire playoff committee by landblasting our opponents.
