The 2nd rate Maryland coach with his overall losing record as a head coach. I heard an Interview with him from Super Bowl radio row where he was talking up his former QB at Bama Jalen Hurts. In espousing his character he said when Jalen got benched in favor of Tua he coulda just left “like that guy at Clemson” but he wanted to graduate from Alabama. I assume he was talking about Kelly B and not DJ, who did in fact graduate, but at any rate keep our name out your mouth. You can talk up your guy without dragging someone else; as a sitting P5 head coach you have to show a little more class. P.S. the best thing hurts did was go to OU so he could work under a real QB coach who got him ready for the NFL. When it was time for him to transfer Locks was already at Maryland…hmm wonder why he picked OU over UM.

Just checked Kelly B also graduated in May 2018 which was before he transferred

To me it’s not a dig at Clemson but a pretty telling comment of the character of one particular player. You could say the same about all those Southern Cal former QBs or Justin Fields as well.

Some perspective from Dabo is relevant in this situation "Don't worry about criticism from people you wouldn't seek advice from." Also, look at all the things that happened while Mike Locksley was the head coach at UNM - might give you some insight into who he is.

I read a recent article that said Hurts initially wanted to transfer to Maryland or Miami but Saban talked him out of those two and advised him to go to OU.

Locksley is coach at Maryland ... not a place known for exhibiting class.
