Ok then, let's just get Bush's, Clintons, and Obamas for starters.
Then let's see congress. Follow the money!

What does anything you have said have to do with the topic? Why did congress release Trump's tax returns? Why? 'Cause other presidents did? lol

Well, no, because I'm not running for office and I'm a private citizen, not a would-be public servant, and I'm not trying to convince the people that I work for them and not whatever Russian oligarch it is that I owe a billion dollars to.
Little differences, you know?

If he has fraudulent tax records, they should be viewed as evidence in a legal proceeding. Again, why are they for "public" release?

Trump said that as soon as his ongoing audit subsided, he would release them himself. I am assuming that the audit is finished and trump is just making good on his promise to the American people.

If candidates want to release them, then that's fine. If they don't, and want to eat the blowback, that's on them.
But unless I'm missing something, there isn't a compelling reason for Trump's records to be made public other than to punish him.

He knew his were fine. He was creating "precedence" so now others will be forced to show theirs when the House starts investigations.
Same goes for the raid on Mar-a-Lago. Now raids are ok on presidents past and present

That's why it needs to be protected as well as the country from those that hold it.
Again, it's pretty common sense to ask a simple request of those that hold the position to be transparent with their possible conflicts of interest. It's why Presidents are meant to divest themselves of their businesses and why releasing their taxes has been precedent since the 1970s.

The same reason presidential candidates have released them for a half-century, so the public can see potential conflicts of interest.

I don't have a problem with all politicians and their immediate family members being required to disclose their tax returns but to single out one guy and pretend he's the problem with politicians, instead of the scumbags who have gotten rich doing it their entire lives is rich.

Having to release their tax returns. Running for office, or any other 'condition' doesn't change my opinion on the matter. The IRS exists for a reason...they need to do their job.
Actually, change the freaking tax code altogether. It is beyond absurd to have a bloated government agency that's completely ineffective at performing its' role in a completely even-handed fashion. It's beyond ludicrous that a cottage industry and its' 'affiliates' exist solely because of the tax code.
Good Lowered...stop chasing symptoms, demonizing citizens and fix the freaking problem. I know...that's simply far too much to ask. But, I'm asking anyway.

That is #1 on my platform when I run for president. 1. 10% flat tax on everyone. Corps, churches, all individuals (citizens or not), non-profits, EVERYONE. 1a. Individuals are only charged tax on up to 40hr work week. Overtime is tax free. 1b. No loopholes, no deductions, no itemizing, no IRS.

First of all , we all pay a lot of taxes other than just income tax. So, Trump , none of us , pay zero. But again if Trump paid zero income tax by utilizing every legal strategy possible then good for him. If you can do it , good for you. The government sucks the blood out of us and if we can legally beat them at the game then so be it. I do my very best to pay as little as possible.

Same rules for everybody regardless if you have gold toilets or an outhouse. If you have to go into debt yiu have a spending problem. If you can pay cash you’re ok.

Its funny watching people pretend that Trump personally does his own taxes. He, like most people, pays others to do them and then signs where he's told to do so. He isn't some evil accounting mastermind. Even if there were some discrepancy it would reflect on the accounting firm more than anyone else.
