This isn’t a good offense, despite five star talent and the best young offensive mind in college football.
We have problems in our program, and as has been mentioned repeatedly they are deeper than just Streeter or DJ.

Yep. It’s like they could never really shake the rust off and get over those first game jitters. Felt like they couldn’t get anything established enough to open up the playbook.
Now, this does feel eerily similar to the past couple years, but I do think we should wait a couple more games before hitting the panic button. Let’s just hope that this is the wake up call that lights a fire under the entire team and coaching staff so that this bad game doesn’t turn into a bad season.

Can’t get. Losing to duke or wake is the worse. I’ve seen FSU beat us a lot since i was a kid. I was there when Jimbo beat our heads in.

Yeah, that game was bizarre and unfortunate. I’m holding onto hope that the game ends up being a catalyst and not a back breaker. I can’t imagine we turn it over twice in the red zone again this year. Those two fumbles were essentially a 21 point swing.
Good news is we actually have some competition in the league this year. So we could be back in the mix in 2 months. Flip side is there are going to be a lot less gimmes on the schedule.

I agree. I do not understand why our fan base is so willing to eat our young.
Stats-wise, this was not a horrible performance. We outgained them. We won time of possession. We ran effectively.
That said, you can’t expect to win with two missed/blocked FG, two fumbles at the goal line, a broken tackle for a TD, a catchable ball deflection for an INT.
In the end, though, as they said on the broadcast, Clemson beat Clemson.
