provided we take care of the teams we're supposed to beat. I don't think we're beating UGA in first game without a deshaun or trevor at QB. But hopefully the defense will keep it competitive and give us a chance to win late. But a loss at FSU will put us around the cutoff at 12. I guess they're thinking we drop another. Which isn't far fetched but I hope we can exceed expectations. 3 loss ACC team is out of the top 12. But a 2 loss ACC team with losses to two top 10 tens only is still close being in it but would be a toss up.

If you want to make the playoff better win the ACC. Have zero confidence two ACC teams will be getting in this new 12 team playoff.

be #1 so a loss there won't be too horrid. If FSU is undefeated then they'll be at 2 or 3 b/c of the CFP committee will be trying to makeup for last year. the problem is the ACC championship we would need to win to get in or vice versa (we win at Doak and they win ACC champ.) I don't think we'll get in with 3 losses with a loss in the conference championship. Unless its really close and other teams really screw up late in the year.

I don’t think FSU will be top 12. Changed too many players and I don’t think the QB they have can beat us.

and expect the remnant to be their starters this year. It doesn't work like that anymore. FSU will be a different team every year and they will usually reload with players they don't deserve and I expect this to be the case every year until it gets fixed. DJ will be the best version of himself this season with all of that experience and likely will have a couple frisbee catchers that cover up his occasional errant throws. They'll be tough to beat but with DJ there its always winnable.
The NIL has flipped them back into being a perennial title contender b/c there's no limit to paying players to come there. Honestly surprised Miami hasn't figured out how to do this yet. Guess at miami there must be some more of those do-gooders there that are worried about academics still..

undefeated at the time. They won't drop FSU out of the top 12. Not this year. The committee has to make up for their sins from last year.

with this new committee b/c the national media will be reminding them of last year. Even if its superficial and for PR purposes.
Similar to clemson in basketball. Every single game this year the announcers go over the same ###### about how we were hosed last year from the tourney. In my opinion if clemson is on the bubble again this year it will be an opportunity to reconcile and clear their name from a PR perspective.
If you see an undefeated FSU this year they won't be ranked 5th at the end. We call em "make up calls." Bad for their PR and with 12 teams being selected this time, everyone who is worthy is getting in anyway?

It is great to remember the great years of 14-19 but until we are better than 20-23 , Top 20 would be realistic. Isnt it funny that everyone yelling for Cade to send DJ to the bench aren't sure we can win with him. It has always been about 40 players not 1 and our 40 this year have a chance to be pretty good if we can find a kicker.

but its the 1 or 2 super elite players that make the difference in the playoff and get you over the hump. I don't think we win in 2016 with DJ or Cade at the helm. But with Deshaun it was a whole different outlook. final 2 minutes in crunch time against an elite alabama defense to drive down and win the game against a hard breaking late score by Jalen Hurts... you gotta have special player thats a gamer to pull that out. And this wasnt the first time he'd led a drive like that either. It makes all the difference in the world.
