In the ACC game on the first drive Maye said thanks for only rushing 3. He went down the field and hung 7 on us. After that we blitzed him and he got 3 more points for the rest of the game. We can’t let this top choice NFL QB have time in the pocket.

And the Clemson Defense always makes them look like a joke.
i can't identify a single big name player that actually balled out in Death Valley.
DEebo Samuel (From Spartanburg and unfortunately a Coot) and Lamar Jackson are the only athletes that I've seen live up to the hype against a Clemson defense (dating back to 2002)

I'm hoping we can get a really good defensive opponent in the bowl game so we can measure how much, or how little progress we've made. These next two games really won't tell us much. We can let the D beat them like we have our last two opponents.
Penn St would be nice because they have a D.

Joe Burrow is the only player that did well ... and he got lucky and hot in during the stretch of the game after Skalski got ejected
not to mention the complete rebuild of the defense occurred that year

Nah, we really don't. We were inexperienced in the secondary last year and had a few busts. Our DL wasn't as good as we are this year. They have nada for an oline. We'll feast all night on them. It'll be a game like 2 years ago. They can't stop the run. And probably had more injuries than we have. Too easy.

It's a darn shame that the Maye's are so died in the wool blue. He could have easily gone several places and won a natty, probably a Heisman.
I know everyone on here is looking at unc as an 8-2 top 20 team and they'll be a lot of hoopla when we beat them. But when you start doing your analysis, unc isn't that good. In all honesty, Duke got ref robbed last week imo. And they still almost managed to pull it out without Riley.
Miami had them beat. Then kinda got away from their gameplan and turned it over 4 times... and still, if Cristobal doesn't panic and sticks to the plan, they still may pull it out.
Then, tge app st game could have gone either way. Unc got a very favorable schedule and still managed to lose 2 games. They could, and probably should be a 6-4 unranked team coming in. There's a reason they're a 7pt dog.
We have (imo) a much better DL this year than we had in the acc game. Duke doesn't have anywhere near the talent we do... especially the backers. We can continue to play conservative, clock eating offense and take a few deep shots if they stack.
No reason we shouldn't win this 27-13.. and we really don't have to play that well. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a championship game repeat.

The next 2 games, Wes needs to dial up the pressure big time. Both Maye and Rattler are very accurate QBs and we can't give them time....I'd rather take both losses and know we threw everything at them but the kitchen sink than to lose by dropping everyone into coverage hoping they don't pick us apart
