Yes, they kept talking about the winner would be eating the mascot.
It was ridiculous how much they promoted pop tarts. Same with the Duke Mayo Bowl. I understand it to a certain extent but dyamn!

They did eat a big Pop Tart but it looked more like a large sheet cake to me. It was stupid and a miss IMO. Just hand out boxes of Pop Tarts.

I agree. They made it sound like they were going to eat the mascot that was dancing around on the field. Had me wondering how that would work out.

Say what you want...but the shenanigans of the Pop-Tart Bowl were awesome.
The ending where the Pop-Tart Mascot was lowered into the toaster to Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff" playing in the background...legendary and I hope more bowls embrace this kind of fun attitude in the future.
10/10 will watch next year if they sponsor another bowl and I'll have some Pop-Tarts to celebrate the occasion.
