Dropped Ball

Sep 11, 2016, 10:09 AM

When one person fumbles or drops the ball its a personal problem, lack of concentration, improper technique, etc. When everyone is having problems holding the ball, catching ,throwing, running with, gripping in general.A mechanical issue comes in to play.Is the ball from a new supplier and has a different grain. Are the towels used to wipe hands and the ball being dried with dryer sheets which have a wax in them. This makes the ball very slick especially on hot days.Have this years gloves been made of a new material that becomes slick with sweat. Are the uniforms being washed or dried with a soap or drier sheet that leaves a slippery film that transfers to hands when wiped.Sun screen becomes ultra slick with sweat.I believe firmly that the team I watched last year is being tripped up by a issue that is hiding in plain sight.
