Double standard

It's amazing the double standard that is placed on people when something isn't to their liking. Clemson can blow out a 2-5 team and people will say it was a sub par team and get upset about running up the score. If Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, all teams that like to leave their starters in the whole game, blows out a 2-5 team it's the greatest thing ever since sliced bread. People complained about games being too easy and too boring for us. But, now that it has gotten down and dirty and having to grit out a nail biter, everybody wants to get in their feelings and whine. How about just leaving it at it was an ugly win but we pulled off the win. I understand that these games make your weekend, but it doesn't make your life. The dumbest thing I have heard was when someone posted on here that they would rather see Cade Klubnik starting and playing the entire game even if we lose the rest of our games because he is the future of the team as opposed the DJ having an ugly game but still winning. It was one game that we lost. We are still going to the ACC Championship with a chance to make one of the New Years 6 bowl games. Too many spoiled people not living in reality.

You don't gain anything at this point playing DJ and off chance that Cade tears it up and overcomes the freshmen mistakes the playoff committee will use that as a reason to downplay the ND loss. They will point to an immediate issue being resolved(whether it was the issue or not). Best case you win out and Cade comes into his own and makes CFP appearance. Worst case you lose 3 games (God I hope not) and still play in the ACCCG and possibly make a nice bowl.

The playoff committee will use nothing of the kind to put Clemson back in the playoff picture, and if they did, that would only cause the hate dripping with jealousy for little ole Clemson to gain strength across the entire country!!!

While I don't agree with everything you said, I do agree with some of it. I trust the coaches (especially Dabo) to do what's best for the team and Clemson University. I would venture to guess the Dabo loves Clemson more than most of us on TigerNet. He knows the issues and will take care of them as he has done in the past. Go Tigers!!!

Interesting Premise

I love Clemson. I attended out of state (from VA) as my preferred school with other options in the conference and around the country. Paid out of state. No scholarship. Was not paid as a coach.
Dabo loves Clemson. Agreed. He was offered a job by Tommy Bowden to come to Clemson. And he likely would have come to South Carolina, Florida State, NC State, Ga Tech or Alabama as an assistant had Bowden or another head coach had offered. It's also a fair premise to say I would love Clemson even more if, like Dabo, I was paid 100 million to love it.
Jealous absolutely. But one day Dabo will leave Clemson for Bama or elsewhere. It won't mean he doesn't love Clemson or take away from the great job he's done. But if and when he's gone in 2 or 15 years, most of us will still be here loving the Tigers. Agree with you that Dabo knows what's best for the team, but he's been able to evolve it with this 2022 team this far.

I was thinking today that Dabo should play our 2nd and 3d team players through the first half, then bring all the starters in to play the second half after we had worn their starters down some, and our starters would be totally fresh against theirs that had tired in the 1st half!!!

All that comes from jealousy, a small school like Clemson tucked away in South Carolina, is not suppose to have a FB power house bordering two southern states as in North Carolina and Georgia that has way bigger FB schools than any in the state of South Carolina, and here is little ole in the corner of SC winning conference, and National Championships by recruiting some of the top FB players from both states that border South Carolina, and the jealousy runs thick. IMO, that is where the most hate for Clemson begins, and it just branches out from there with them knowing that Clemson does it with the players taken right out of their yard!!!!
