That should be interesting, seeing how most folks in Cobb County hate tax increases. They fight the SPLOST every single time. It won't work without MARTA building a line out to the Cobb Cloverleaf and they've been fighting that since Day One.
I should mention, I'm a progressive Cobb County resident.

But the primary reason they are moving is because of the surrounding area. They actually do not own Turner Field; they lease it. Their lease expires after the 2016 season, so they had a choice. Stay where they are for another 20 years or so, or get out of there.

What a complete waste of money. Atlanta replacing two stadiums that are under 25 years old is just stupid.
