The GREAT SEC basketball is bombing in the tourneys! Maybe somebody was over rated?

NCAA first round:

Michigan St (9) beat Miss st (8) by 18
Oregon (11) beat the coots (6) by 14
Oakland (14) beat Kentucky (3) by 4
Yale (13) beat Auburn (4) by 2
Colorado (10) beat Florida (7) by 2

And Tennessee (2) beat St. Pete (15) easily

Alabama and TexA&M still to finish this round

That is a 1 - 5 record in the first round, with all of the losses by upsets per the seeding!

And then, in the NIT, LSU lost by 7 to North Texas playing at home, and Georgia beat Xavier at home by 2 points!

Then the good guys did this:

NCAA play in:

Virginia (10) lost to Colorado st (10) badly

NCAA first rd:

NC St (11) beat Texas Tech (6) by 13
UNC (1) beat Wagner (16) easily
Clemson (6) beat New Mexico (11) by 21 (when the odds had NM favored)

That is a 3-1 record, with the NC ST game an upset of seeds, and no upset against the ACC!

And in the NIT, Va tech beat Richmond at home by 16 points, and BC beat Providence on the road by 5!

So, the total across both tourneys for the SEC is 2-6 with 6 games lost by an upset...The ACC 5-1 with no upsets against them, and upsetting two teams (BC and NC St upset wins)!

We can guess about the teams all we want, but the games tell us the real story!
