Is that the genius in Spurrier's plan? The little jabs that work our fan base into a frenzy and build this game up to mean everything in the world. The coaches that want to beat them more than anything in the world to shut him up. USC comes out with a pretty vanilla game plan of Run the ball/QB Draw/Pressure the QB constantly and then just wait for Clemson to implode - and of course we oblige him in pretty short order. Maybe Spurrier's greatest "Coaching" feat is getting his guys to relax and play loose while we look like ticking time bombs in Orange helmets. Could it be that simple? Every year that goes by where we self destruct, just makes the mountain that much taller the following year. Rinse and repeat....
