SEC in several years. I think it will be the Big 64 split in 2 conference - so arguments for either are probably archaic. Probably grouping will be by geography.

lot of difference between driving to athens, knoxville, auburn, etc than flying to columbus, ann arbor, and parts unknown.

At the most there would be a big 32, basically combining most or all of the B1G and SEC.

Some believe the elite programs from these two conferences will ditch the lesser football schools and create super league of 20-24 teams. I don't subscribe to this belief. Breaking the B1G and SEC up will not happen in the next 20 years, if ever, IMO.

A big 64 is complete nonsense and I don't understand why people keep bringing it up. The TV value of schools 1-32 is probably 8-10x the value of schools 33-64.

My guess is both conferences will be heavily involved in influencing the outcome of the big reorg.
