Run a lot this season unless Taisun proves he's healthy and can be a good back up if DJ goes down.
Book it Dan-O

I'm guessing there will be a different #2 QB soon.

I don't think DJ needs to run for us to score a lot.

We just need to have well-designed plays to get the ball to our playmakers in space.
Our offensive line probably won't be reliable, which is why rolling the QB out, using misdirection, and utilizing the middle of the field with slants and strikes to the tight end make a lot of sense to many of us.

If it's not a dart to the sideline, TE wants nothing to do with it.

We did all of that Saturday and do it every game.

We need the OL to mesh and the QB to execute the plays or tuck and run when they break down.
Please stop trying so hard.

Dan-O retired from 5-0 and moved back to Jersey.

Well if that is the case, then we will need either Mike Leach or Ralph Freigen calling plays, because teams will start teeing off on our RB and QB and he will be out anyway due to injury. Another Book it Dano! I hope you are right and I'm wrong, but that's the way common sense tells it.

Taisun hasn’t developed at all

As sketchy as DJ looked at times Saturday night, if he goes down we’re toast.
By the way, DJ needs a LOT of coaching up as well. Wondering if Streeter is up to it.

There were design run plays and rpo’s called for DJ Saturday night. But it’s hard to run when the linebacker gets to you before the snap. The key is the OL must block no matter who is back there.

Apparently there's some sort of magic offense and playcalls where you don't need an OL or functional QB. I've read where we would have beaten UGA if we only reverted to this magic offense ??

I am thinking the same thing. Even though the coaches all said that he should have run more, you have to wonder if they told him to try not to take risk with taking a big hit on a scramble. Of course 7 sacks is also a lot of hits, some of them were pretty solid.

One more loss and our playoff hopes are completely gone so why obsess over the possibility of DJ getting hurt? If him running the football makes this offense better he should be running the d@mn football. We can't hold anything back from here on out.
Also, it's just as likely right now that he gets hurt on a sack. Showing that he's a legitimate running threat might give defenses some pause with the aggressive pass rushes.

I don't disagree and I'm calling complete bullschtein on this type of mindset.
DJ is an athlete but he looked completely handcuffed on Saturday and had to fight his inclinations to stay within the "game plan".
We don't need him dashing 20+ yards every time, but learn to slide, son, just like Trevor did after the Syracuse hit. Be the best DJ there is

Seems like Danny Ford once said that three things can happen when you pass the ball, and two of them are bad.
