Etc. Wasn’t this Loser of a doctor there when Saban was the head coach? Just saying, if they start going after everyone in the athletic department, when do they start going after past coaches. You can’t tell me that if Dantonio goes down for this, that Saban didn’t know something during his time there. Just a thought..... he was there from 95-99

going after anybody / everybody who might have known about anything at some past point anywhere in time we will destroy good people. The statutes of limitations on most crimes are not loopholes; they are there for very good reasons.

Unfortunately in the case of sexual abuse cases, the statute of limitations is a real problem. A child abused at 5 years old is only 12 when that runs out. Possibly there have been some changes made to that law that I'm unaware of.

The unfortunate reality there is that it is difficult

to get evidence of a crime committed against a five year old. Our desire for justice might lead us to give more testimonial leeway there, but we have seen innocent people convicted on the basis of a child's testimony that was later shown to be false. The sad part is that the children really thought they were telling the truth, but what they thought or were led to believe happened wasn't actually factual. This multiplies when a 20 year old is remembering what happened when he/she was 5. We just cant go down that road.

If they knew about anything like sexual assault going on in the past and didn't report it or do something immediately to stop it, they are not good people

Different issues

They are going after Dantonio and Izzo because of sexual assault claims against some of their former players. Provided the coaches stayed out of the investigations and the players were cleared, they will be fine. At this point, we really don't know where this will lead. If there was interference it certainly looks like a culture issue at the school. Saban is not involved.
With respect to looking at the Nassar situation, I understand the statutes of limitations and it's purpose and need, however, if there were people 20 years ago that knew this guy was abusing young women and didn't do anything about it, or helped cover it up, they are why there were eventually over 150 victims. They should be fired and thrown in jail. Sorry.

Who are they going after who was not involved? Seems there are credible allegations against Dantonio and Izzo related to covering up assaults, similar to Brilles at Baylor. I think we can all agree that is not a good quality for those who are charged with leading young people.
They are not being accused of anything related to Nassar. Try not to confuse others by jumbling up the facts.

He’s saying it is a reach to try to implicate Saban in this. A point on which I’m in complete agreement.
