No. The punt ended up 10 yards in front of the return man and bounced up and hit another VT player. If you watch it again, you will see Steward just standing there.

and its short, sometimes they just let the ball do its thing, instead of running up and barely getting there in time to make the catch, it happens all the time, sometimes they even back up even more to get out of the way of the punt.

Steward was obviously right where he should have been, near the ball when it landed
