Good question because ND will pony up the $$'s no matter what they do in Omaha. He might, and I think a big maybe now on even going to FSU.

Hard for me to predict coaching and monies. No doubt he has some incentive bonuses headed his way but not sure how much ND wants to put down long term on a baseball coach in comparison to what some southern schools are currently paying. FSU makes sense for him but again I have been fooled more than one time on what coaches may or may not do.

He wasn’t happy that’s FSU fired his roommate (Mike Martin Jr) so we may have a chance. ND has to schedule early season games on the road due to cold weather and potential for ice, snow, etc. They are “on the road” like Michigan (Eric Bakich) for essentially 2 months. That wouldn’t happen at Clemson or FSU. He is from Tallahassee, so we are fighting uphill, but we have the advantage of not firing his former roommate. Let’s hope Jarrett or Godwin are willing to take a great program that hasn't been up to snuff vs. the lure of home. If they stay or take another job, we circle back to Szefc (VT coach) or Bakich will listen.

Godwin would be a good choice, but all I ever hear is that he won't leave. You never know.
