I am currently having or trying to have a conversation with some on Twitter. They say clemson isn’t a blue blood program bc no titles. So Fresno and wake and coastal are bc a title? They can’t give credit where it’s due. Many writers In the industry consider Clemson and FSU as one despite no titles. Am I being bias or realistic? I asked some writers and they say Clemson and fsu are blue bloods. I mean vandy has multiple titles but the overall body work they aren’t near any of those programs. Man I have loved Clemson baseball my entire life. I asked for a weekend series for my birthday in May every year growing up.
But it's hard to say blue blood without multiple titles. We haven't won a regional since 2010 either.
However, I will agree chickens are, and will always be delusional.

One of 8 programs with 3k wins….Fresno and wake have titles as does coastal and they aren’t blue bloods

I have to disagree since we have 4 nattys + runner up in men's Soccer. Also, Clemson
is the ONLY univ. with a minimum of 3 titles in football and footbol so there.

Just tell him the blue blood and elite teams have over 3000 wins and Clemson is one of only 8 that do. At the current rate, UofSC may be "sniffing" this in about 10 years.

Scratch the trout fishing. There are not enough Rangers to find the lost Coots if they tried to locate a trout stream in the mountains.

Why the trout fishing hate?! That’s more of a Clemson area activity considering no trout exist outside aquariums anywhere near Columbia. Trout fishing is a gentleman’s sport. See a river runs through it for proof. It’s an art; casting a dry fly takes years of practice. I’d say they are noodling experts. To be a functional fly fisher; one has to also be an entomologist. You must know what is hatching and match that hatch in your presentation. Trout are finicky. Trout fishing is to executives as polo is to kings. Just saying.

I found a list from June of 2021 that shows the top 9 teams with the most all time wins. That was 3 years ago but it shows Clemson, Carolina and FSU in the Top 9 and new member Stanford on the list giving the ACC 4 teams. The SEC has no current teams but will have Texas next year.
The definition of "blue blood" can be many things.

I know people have opinions but when many baseball writers say clemson is one shows. I mean overall history clemson has a lot of accolades…football has many as well but most have become recent.

The “dirt scratchers” are for sure a blue blood……… in public drunkenness and bird flipping, it’s a sad sad life they live. Who wouldn’t be depressed having a chicken as a mascot. There is something really sick about grown men yelling “go #####”.

All of their few National Championships have all been in minor sports like bass fishing, horseback riding, and women's basketball. Did they win one in baseball ? If so, that too is a minor sport.
