I believe there is still a rule that you can't play a game on your home floor in the mens NCAA tourney. So I guess the committee would either seed them or leave them out they have become the host of the play in games (it what they are- this first 4 thing is just trying to make squeaking in look better than it is).

Dayton played on its home floor in the First Four in 2015. But they can't do it
