Anybody got any favorite cold remedies other than time, hot toddies, and patience?

definitely not a cure but I followed the directions and used it every four hours or something like that.
Now I spray that stuff like poop potpourri when I feel like I'm getting one.

Claritin and Hycodan cough syrup(go easy on it--it's a narcotic and requires a prescription)

Get that body temp up and sweat the virus to death.
Alternate with hot steamy showers huffing as much steam as you can
Force a fever
Just make sure you hydrate twice as much as you think you should

Fall through some ice into shoulder deep water

then get out, walk 2 miles, while the water in your sopping clothes freezes since it's below 20 degrees outside. Then get home, shower to thaw your clothes, then get undressed, then finish the shower, then drink a cup of hot cocoa.
That worked when I was 6yo.
