Weather was mild enough to get some quality yard work done
Mom’s Covid test was negative so she is out of quarantine
Good night in the Valley (didn’t do much with the lights though. I think they must be saving up in hopes of ND or Miami being a night game)
Typical Sunday since I could go eat with mom again

Sat - Took Mcjr to soccer practice, then we drove 35 mins to Clemson. No traffic for 8:00 vs FAU. Our new tailgate spot has one bright side. Fishing. Me and McJr caught a couple bass.
Now the teenagers in front of me during the game I wanted to throat punch or roll up a newspaper and hit them on the nose and say "NO" b/c they hit me in the knees 40 times leaning back in their fancy stadium seats. Got the Win and arrived home at 1240.
Sun - Church in the morning, worked in the garage most of the afternoon while watching NFL.

Fri - drank some beers and a little karaoke. Came home for some redhead things.
Sat - watch football of course. Wife and I went to eat at new-ish seafood restaurant downtown. Guy that owns it is the lawyer/restauranteer that has the Boathouse, Ellis Creek, and Amen Street down there in the lowcountry. Anyway, we split an app and the fried seafood platter (cause old and neither one of us eats much). Was good. Went down the alley to the dive bar and had beers and watched the tigers play. Home and watched Prime and his sons poke the eyes out of Colorado State. Crash.
Sun - wake up in the a.m. and something ain't right. For the next six hours have the liquid trots on and off like I haven't had in quite a while. Kind of surprising as I'm usually old ironsides and can tolerate most anything. So, didn't stray too far from the house but didn't have a bite to eat until early evening. Decide to get back on that horse and test the waters with, what else? Taco Bell of course, lol. Only had a bean burrito (no onions) and tolerated it well, a little cramping but nothing else. Felt ok enough to take the little one to the park for an hour and didn't have to make an emergency exit. About to have my Mon a.m. breakfast and see how things hold. I'm really REALLY hungry right now.
As I said, the good was good, the bad was pretty shidty.

Friday, drove to Nashville. We were late getting out of town so didn't get there until almost 11.
Saturday, had a nice long lunch with Nashville nephew, got to see the new baby. Hung out watching some football in the afternoon, had the very first beers at Bassline Brewing. They haven't officially opened yet and we just happened to walk in and got the first ones. Decent Oktoberfest brew. Early evening, we took off for Broadway, grabbed a beer before the show at the Ryman and watched a band playing covers on the plaza outside. Went in and watched a fair bot of the first half of Clemson game on the phone waiting for the show, then saw Mike and the Moonpies, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, and Reckless Kelly. Each played a great hour-long set. Back to the ABnB to crash around 1 am.
Sunday, up and showered, headed back out of town. Home around 5:00, over to Mom's. She has declined even more and I think we're pretty much nearing the end of her journey. She's surprised us and bounced back 1000 times, but I'm not so confident that will happen this time. She's had a great long life (just short of 88), and the dementia really has been fairly manageable up until this past 6 months. I'll try to make peace with that.
Still, a very solid 19/19 Covids weekend, as far as getting to see three bands that I dearly love together in the Ryman.

Youngest has a drainage issue so we dug up what was supposed to be a drain that was not only clogged but did not connect to anything. F those idiots who put that in.
Good times with son fixing something I guess. LOL.
Got back in time to see Clemson do a reverse - good 1st half and suck 2nd (well I went to sleep in the 3rd quarter so I have no idea how FAU scored.)

Friday - left work came home and packed for trip on Saturday. Went to bed early
Saturday - up at 5, went to Greenvegas with son and wife to see my daughter run in the Furman XC meet. Had a great time at the race and got to see my daughter who finished second for Clemson, again. Great weather. Drove back home went to a scokker match, went home again and watched feetsbawl. Loved the fast start by the Tigers and feel asleep after half time. Missed all the drama in Colorado.
Sunday - slept in a bit, went shopping, son came over and we watched football, did some cleaning and shopping, did a review on Jounge Snap for Guy Fieri's Flavor Town frozen meals.
Not sure why, but tired af right now

was incredible. Picked daughter up from Cross Country, grabbed burritos, and was in the lot by 6:00ish. Had lawn seats so we went in early to secure a good spot. Schools side, lawn rail, laid down blankets and waited for the show. Great show, so much fun, etc... Home to sleep by midnight.
Up at 6:00 AM Saturday morning for a soccer tourney in North Myrtle so we took that 1.5 hour drive there. This was our teams first games together and won the first game 6-0. Grabbed lunch, did some shopping at Salty South Mercantile which ended up being a great store, and back to the fields for game #2. Went up 2-0 quick but the other team battled back and we were down 5-2 at halftime. The boys were dejected but tied it up REAL late in the second half with some great teamwork, only to lose on a last minute goal by the one kid they couldn't cover. He had 4 of their 6 goals, kid was a BALLER. Fast, two-footed, powerful, etc. Drive BACK to Wilmington for NIGHT TWO of Widespread Motherfu>cking Panic. Babysitter met us at the house at 4:30 so we didn't have to take the boys. Grabbed Cheesesmith pre-show, cruised the lot a little, then in our seats by 7:00. Much better seats, the show was an absolute BARN BURNER. Tons of fun everywhere. Got referred to as "The Dad" by a younger guy behind me, made me feel a little old, but oh well. Still kicking. Back home for sleeps by midnight.
Up at 5:00 AM Sunday to drive BACK to North Myrtle for game 3. We got SKUNKED. Charleston 1776 United or something like that bossed us all over the field. It was really bad. 7-0 was the final and we were NEVER in it. Son played goalie the first half and was pretty down, but bad days happen. Drove BACK to Wilmington and cleaned house and did laundry, watched a TINY bit of NFL just to have noise in the background.
8/10 weekend. Would have been 15/10 if we didn't have to drive to NMB twice so early in the morning.
Widespread Panic rules Wilmington.

My son is in the Third tier of 2013s, there are two MUCH BETTER Hammerheads teams above him. He is basically with kids who have never played travel ball before (him) or kids that have hit their ceiling and aren't going to get much better.

Saturday was work day at the hunting club. I ran a pole saw from sun up to almost sun down. Got home and crashed hard on the couch.
Sunday we had cake and ice cream for my grandmother's 79th birthday. Got home and didn't do much else.
But all of the stands are ready to hunt out of. Just got a few more fields we don't hunt to bush hog and we'll be golden pony boy.

Early dinner friday at Green Lettuce, then chilled on the patio rest of evening. Bought plane tix for January trip to Hawaii, so celebrated that being official.
Saturday got up and did some yardwork and chores around the house. Kept half an eyeball on the early football games while piddling around house. Got ready and headed out to game around 3. No traffic, no line at bojangles, hardly anybody in the lot when we got there. Tailgate with Wife-of and Son-of, regretted not having the tent as the drizzle kept up for a bit. Tigers won. We left late 3rd qtr. Got home and fell asleep way before the fightin primes game was over.
Sunday up fairly early and did almost nothing detectable. Watched some FB, did a little work, took a little nap, planned a little house project. Made a fairly kickass dinner of sauteed squash, roasted tomatoes and salmon burgers.
Would repeat. #### monday.

Friday...was off work 'cause wife-of had outpatient surgery in Greenville to remove a lump from her breast. Surgery went well and we should have results from the lump sometime this week. (that part wasn't perfect I guess) Had lunch after the surgery at Schwaben House...schnitzel sandwich for the win. Wife-of slept for the rest of the day.
Saturday...wife-of slept all day/stayed in room and chilled. Wonderful day of college football watching. Concluded by our team looking a little better.
Sunday...wife still not feeling great. Did a grocery run. Watched all of the NFL games...with youtubetv and NFL package and I literally watched every game. Giants pulled an awesome come back in the late slot and watched the phins beat the Pats in the late slot. Fantasy team up by 11 heading into Monday night and opponent still has Freiermuth going, so could be close.
Great weekend of football watching.
Would appreciate Ts and Ps for results to come back negative on lump they took out of wife-of.

sat - up and rolling w/ the rugrats. watched game day, noon games, etc. went and shot bow while toddler was napping- all ready for the season.
in-laws came over so me and wife could go on a date night. had some sushi, drank a lot of sake, the works.
watched the vawls get humbled. I might have to call into a radio show today lol
sun - family zoo day. oh wait, 7 month old threw up everywhere as we were pulling in the neighborhood...so flippedabitch and dropped her and wife off. me and toddler then hit zoo, w/ in-laws, and it was dope...hardly anyone there.
came home, put kids down, got nasty w/ the wife, watched some breadzone, hit grocery store, and then fired up the smoker, for the first time in over, a year for some easy peasy pork tenderloins.

My liver, between the margaritas and the beers, is certainly doing its part to memorialize JB.
Got some wings from the J&S Wings To Go food truck Saturday evening. They are the actual bomb. For those of you who like REALLY hot wings, she will oblige you.
Cooked out hamburgers in the weekly Sunday afternoon family gathering of the kids Sunday. Watched Deion on 60 Minutes. Slept great, only to discover that today is Monday.
