Dabo’s successor: Tony Elliott

Based on what we know about Dabo, I see him wrapping up his coaching career around 60. Seems like a man who will be fulfilled by that point. So maybe 10-12 more years.

I see Elliott being selective, and in 2-3 years taking a solid, middle of the road power 5 job. A few years of head coaching under his belt, and he’ll be ready for the big chair. I think the guy is an incredible leader & a great coaching mind, and would love for him to be the face of our program one day.

Thoughts?

as he wants to be our coach. I don't know who his successor will be. That could be 20+ years down the road. I am enjoying the NOW.

But I will be surprised if most coordinators & several assts do not leave over the next 2-5 yrs for head coaching and coordinator opportunities with talented coaches like Streeter available to step up. There has been too much success to maintain the status quo.
