Spurrier was 86-49 in his 9.5 seasons at Scar. Not so great compared to Dabo's 94-28. But given their miserable history, what Spurrier did was actually miraculous.

The only year prior to Dabo that we would have made the playoffs was 1981. Not top 4 in 1978. Our 1989 team finished 12th, Which is what Va Tech was ranked last night
