Some caller on The Finebaum show mentioned Dabo’s representatives may have reached out to Auburn. I think it’s completely false but just curious if anyone had some more inside information to back it up.

It's a done deal. Clemson has contacted Steve Spurrier and he is quite interested in coaching here though he mentioned a contract extension.
Alabama called right after Dabo accepted the Auburn job and offered him a contract which includes him making 1 dollar more, automatically, than any other college coach. We're standing by for his future decision.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting stories out there bc, I heard that he offered to pay Auburn if they would allow him be the HC there if he could bring his two Coordinators, and the offer was rejected bc of the baggage he wanted to bring with him!!!

Actually they're partiallyright, the truth is they have reached an agreement with Brent Venables and Brent's representatives reached out to Dabo to be the co-oc and wr coach. Since then, they're close to an agreement with Streeter to be the co-oc and qb coach.

I've given tiger fans a lot of grief since I signed up on here 10+ years ago. And in the vein of full disclosure, there were a whole bunch of us back then from the old cocky talk that originally signed up at the same time to pull an April Fools Prank on Tigernet (I think we were going to post a rumor of the NCAA sniffing around your program or something like that). It was intended to be good natured fun between two rival message boards. Nothing malicious. Back then, several of us had more than 1 log in, myself included. Heck I even joined as a donor to help the subterfuge. Way back then of the Mods (I think it was B-Meist, but it's been 10 years and I forget who it was), sniffed it out via IP address and shut us down. I got a very stern t-mail that I could only have 1 t-net account. I almost got banned for it, I think the ONLY reason I wasn't fully banned was because I was a donor. So since that day, I've had no other T-net logins.
So I hate to burst your bubble, but what I haven't done is create an account to post something I would have just posted under my long standing user name. Sorry. Don't believe me? Have the mods check IP addresses. I didn't start this thread, I just posted a link from a reputable website that I found on another forum (SECRant) to say it's more than a rumor. I don't think any reasonable person with a mind would believe that Dabo was REALLY leaving Clemson anytime soon under his own power, and any talks with Auburn are simply a ploy to get a little more $$$ out of Clemson.
I went to school where you could get kicked out for telling a lie. So, that's as honest as I can be. You can believe it or not....
