I just wanted to squash this rumor before it gets started. Dabo would be a bad hire for Texas A&M and A&M would be a bad job for Dabo. Dabo's strength has always been recruiting, but he has always recruited the southeastern part of the country. Alabama then Clemson. Texas is brand new territory where he doesn't know the high school coaches very well and it just doesn't make sense. Charlie Strong was a great coach at Louisville but did squat in Texas. Why? Because he was used to recruiting for Louisville, South Carolina and Florida. I always said if Strong would have taken the Florida job things would have worked out differently.
Also, Dabo took years building Clemson. He would be starting over again at A&M. And Dabo is already among the the top paid coaches in America.
I think Dabo will continue to succeed here at Clemson and A&M will find a coach that better fits them.

You seem to be trying to convince yourself with bad assumptions. Dabo would be great at aTm but will not go unless he believes the Lord is leading him to move.

How does one know exactly that’s it’s the Lord leading you to move vrs say, you just really want to go?

Yea Dabo is smarter than that… I mean money isn’t a huge difference thag I’m aware of and he would be at a place with the funds that if he didn’t immediately turn it around in 3 years he would be on the hot seat where as here he’s good and allowed a down year for a little bit as long as he shows improvement… example the last couple years and it’s not even mentioned him being on any type of hot seat… plus he would be in the sec west playing a lot tougher schedule. He’s smarter than that he’s got it made at Clemson !

Well he did sign the nation’s #1 QB recruit out of Texas a couple years ago.
Wouldn’t say it’s completely foreign territory for him.
But I do agree overall that Dabo is not going to A&M.
