And we’re watching it happen right before our eyes. We have an OC and DC that no other top tier program would remotely consider hiring, and Dabo has surrounded himself with a bunch of yes men. Afraid to challenge his bad decisions and too grateful for the opportunity too tell him the truth. This young AD has one hell of a task on his hands. He has to convince Dabo Swinney to embrace change, and that is mission impossible.

Y’all have really short memories. Dabo took you to places you’ve never been. You were a mediocre program before Dabo, the exception being Danny Ford, who cheated. No one gives Clemson credit for that championship and for good reason. So get over yourselves or go back to mediocrity.

And sadly, Dabo will rationalize it. This program has regressed so much. We are no longer a top 10 team. We probably won’t be picked to win the ACC next year either.

This site is bizarre. We lost the game. The primary reasons had to do with coaching.
We won every single offensive stat and held Tennessee to under 400 yards. The secondary breakdowns were most concerning, and we had a true freshman QB look exactly like that at some key moments. What is there to "rationalize"?

He lets Dabo do what he wants and looks for the next camera to mug in front of.
The Barker/TD administration had Dabo in check in a healthy, collaborative way. They loved Dabo but they ran the university and they held everyone accountable. Good luck getting that from a phony like Clements.

No way! Barker spent all of his time and money trying to bribe publications into putting Clemson into the top 25 of colleges and universities. Clements has tried to make it a better institution in a much more difficult woke environment.

We were manhandled by a team without their major weapons. It was an embarrassing loss.
Yes we moved the ball, but the red zone offense was atrocious.
That's coaching.
Tennessee has a terrible defense and a great offense that lost all it's weapons and still manhandled our so called NFL defense. So I think we have a right to be upset.

If you have ever done any reading on the rise and fall of empires, one of the root causes of this is the idea that one becomes too big to fail and that idea is born out of pride. Once you've lost your humility you set yourself on course for a major fall and throughout history, this has repeated itself time and time again.

Pride is something we all have, hubris is a pride tantamount to god himself; generally held by an outwardly religious person that claims to project the glory on some imaginary invisible being all the while absorbing the glory himself. See Dabo. He envoked God last week, God said F off this week! You can’t go a praising god for your wins and not blame him for your losses, unless you’re a hypocrite of the magnitude of Dabo. Dzbo will be the first to say that his joy and happiness has nothing to do with temporary circumstances where something good happens to you. He's not "killing" it, but he has moved the bar back to ACC Champs. It's a shame because we proved with the right effort and right people we could compete for a Natty every year. It's hard to move back. Most fans don't want to, but some fans are ok with it and Dabo is too. Appearances are that he's ok with the sacrifice as long as his public image looks good, and friends/family are given rewards through his position of power. He's not the first person of power to go down this path. How many Senators started their career with great intention only to become beholden to the Russia's and the Exxon's and the gun manufacturers?

Wow..... The people who really believe they know what is going on is truly unreal. It's hilarious. Dabo didn't hire his friends he hired people that have been in this system for years. When Dabo hired CM and BV he wasn't looking for coaches he was looking for successful systems. Which is why he said this isn't CM's offense but Clemson's offense and that wasn't BV's defense but Clemson's defense. Then he hired people under the coaches that did nothing but learn those systems in and out. He told JS and TE to follow every step CM made bc he knew CM wanted to be a head coach. WG was BV's right hand man and was the guy charged with learning that system. Of course those guys are going to put there own twist on it. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Obviously WG isn't as aggressive as BV and I do believe that is the difference we saw this year. He implemented a more bend don't break scheme. I do believe he needs to be more aggressive next year and press the issue. Streeter was tasked with a no win situation. DJ knew the offense in and out but DJ just isn't the QB the coaches thought and he wasn't built for this offense. Talk to anyone that saw any practice they will tell you Cade was NOT ready to take over. So you are coming off a so called down year with the same QB and a freshmen which totally handcuffed the system. I believe what you saw in the OB is what Streeter wants to be. He wans to go back to that CM's HUNH offense. This off season is HUGE for Cade. Obviously the receivers have been bad but I really like Williams and hopefully Randall will be fully healthy. Ngata made strides late if he comes back and Cole Turner has only played football for 3 years now. You got to hope the freshmen one of them are ready or Stellato [sp] is healthy. I like the defense especially the freshmen coming in to go along with Page, Capehart and those guys. Back to my point, Dabo believes in what he has done and what he is doing. It's a proven method that yields results so yeah he probably is going to stick with it. As far as his religious beliefs he's been this way his whole life so the fact that it's only a problem when Clemson loses says more about you guys than him. Something has changed through the years though and it's this fanbase. This fanbase well some in this base have become entitled ######. There is a difference in letting football run your life and using football as a foundation for life which I believe is the reason why some fans bash Dabo. Football isn't the most important thing to Dabo and to those few fans they just can't stand it. I'd probably be a miserable SOB as well if what other people I have no control over on a football field ruled my life. Remember these coaches and players are human beings as well. They make mistakes, they're not perfect and even sometimes they lose a football game.
